micmac just because the landscape supply is cheap doesn't make it good

good is not cheap

cheap is not good

i would put up my flowers quality , grown in an artisan crafted soil

against any landscape supply soil any day of the week & twice on sundays lol

you can grow in almost any type of soil & get a result but i don't want a result

i want the best flowers i can grow , i want Penfolds wine not the cheapest cask

wine i can buy , both will get me pissed but only one will be satisfying imho

i would suggest rather than bagging something you've never tried , try it first

then bag it

Am i the only one using Dynamic lifter, blood n bone and sulfate of potash? lol

it depends where ya live, what quality soil you have, you wont find it in a suburban house block, its either pine waste or human waste(Vic)

most of Australian soils wouldn't grow fuck all, without adding lots of shit, except for a little bit up the east coast

thank fuck i live on a little bit of it, everything go's berserk here lol

especially the weeds

Not bagging the product

$950 is what concerns me

When u can turn an average soil into the same thing

I'm sure it would work,no doubt

But I thought the idea was to learn how to make your own, which works out a darn lot cheaper n the knowledge stays with u

Buy a bag,grow for a season

Learn how to identify, rectify be able to turn any soil condition into prime living soil again

Not sure how many ppl can afford that, pretty obvious by the choices of soil they buy at Bunnings

I'd say most ppl that grow on this site do it out of necessity because they can afford to buy it

I'm just being realistic, hope your venture goes great, but I'll still provide ppl with a cheaper option if they choose to put in a little effort

The landscaping soil is just the base, it's what else u put in that makes it work and as I said time n effort

Sure if u want to outlay that sort of money for dirt that's fine to

Remember though just cause u got good dirt doesn't mean u r going to get great plants,as u know itchy,it takes a lot more than that

For sure, throughout the last 20 pages I think I've provided a fair bit of advice on what to look out for when making soil.
