charbono said it quite well...

There is definitely money to be made by the government if they "legalised" it (actually, it would still be a controlled substance, meaning you have to be 18+).

Australia's dope industry is bigger than our wine industry. Think about that. MJ is also worth more per ounce than gold.

But the problem with it being taxed, is that they'd probably still make it illegal to grow your own (as with tobacco).

tell ya what, if mj is legalised and your not permitted to grow your own, im quite sure a few people with connections to the media will say that basically nothing has changed, prices are still high, quality is the same, etc and the only way to change this is to allow the user to supply themself....

might not happen over night but eventually it will happen :peace:

Indeed, the only party to advocate a complete reform of the drug laws in Australia, regardless of what the bully boy from across the pacific says.

A distinct possibility of 7, yes, 7 senate seats going to the greens is appearing in this election, and with that we would be in the situation of a Green balance of power. Now that, I'd like to see. :peace:

Just make sure you give the Greens your #1 vote! Definitly fill in your preferences, so number all the boxes below the line, but make sure the Greens get your #1 vote. Put Liberals very last, closely followed by Nationals - their Tough On Drugs prohibitionist policy is the complete opposite of what we need so we need them out of power.

Put Greens #1!!!! :peace:

hell yea, at least pot will be decrim.

But the rest of the country will fall apart, they have no clue on how to run a govt.

So why not make your vote count and vote for anyone bar Labour. If labour gets in then growing will be alot harder due to the crap they have in the pipeline to wipe out Illegal drugs.

but if ya wanna waste a vote go hard.
