Thought I would post this so you can see where 12-1 really kicks ass.

Hey V-rod =), Mate watched the vid, seen it before...... at no point does Jorge Cervantes mention, condone, or say that 12/1 is how those plants were grown.

The big greenhouses (tubes) are there to protect the crops from frosts, which are quite common in areas where the nights are clear and cool. And to allow them to cover in rains that may affect buds(mould) almost ready to harvest. They also allow, with correct ventilation, the growing of plants through winter, and the frames can be used to put up shade clothe if the summer is too harsh.

The only time you will se those greenhouses covered in black plastic is when they are budding into the start of summer and the plants need the 12 hours but not much more. Once they have got them far enough along that the daylight hours won't reveg them, they won't bother.

It's just common sense that some of those beasts would never be able to be covered, they just too big.

That area of Cali has the same climate I live in.

Jorge Cervantes is a legend and not someone to be dragged down by your crap. If you wanna prove a point, lets see YOUR grow diaries updated weekly, from START to FINISH using 12/1 including light hour reduction in flower, not just half the system or half a grow or the occassional picture.

Just like last time, having a crack at me cause your Pineapple Chunk plant didn't stretch as much as my 300%, like I don't know what the fark I'm talking about.

Well, ya tipped it ya Knob, what did ya think was gonna happen? :wallbash:

Use 12/1 all ya like guys, but spruking bullshit like this on site is really getting my goat.

Sorry to interrupt ya thread Norm.....Vrod likes to use his crap to shit up other threads, not his own. Peace. Gh72

G'day Troops.

G'day GH.

My first wife worked in a large wholesale plant nursery back in the '70's, and they were using the extended igloo's for bringing on cuttings. We made the hoops then with galv pipe, bent with the help of a tractor and some posts, then set them in concrete. Put down a bed of railway ballast, roll it in, job done. Some had white plastic, some black, some shade cloth, depending on their use. They worked well.

I'm still using 12-1 and reducing light and it seems to be working. I'll keep at it for now. The next one though I might go 18-6 then 12-12. This will show me what each can do. 12-1 has the benefit of saving power costs, as being a pensioner, I can't keep copping power bills like the last one. That was an eye opener and I'm still paying it off every fortnight. Though I did have every single light, and whatever else I owned, going flat out. This time round I only have the 1k hps and 4 fans going. Anything not being used is turned off.

G'day Smasho.

Those twins are wild stuff for sure. They are going along well, we had a few good rain showers today and it was a bit warmer than usual, tomorrow will be the same, so we should see them get a bit of a move on soon. None of the outdoor plants are doing much, as it has been very cold again down here. The plot they are in is pretty sheltered from the worst of it, and the 2 brick walls help keep things a bit warmer than out in the yard. I'll post some more pics in the next few days, things have been a bit hectic the last few days, but should settle down for a bit now.

G'day Troops.

Fucking snails ate one of the twins. So me and the chooks had a snail holocaust this morning. The chooks had a ball, cackling and jumping around, while pigging out. The chooks follow me everywhere I go in the back yard, as they know I'll find them something juicy to scarf up. But here's a pic of the one that's still in one piece. The other Pacific Gold seedlings are about the same, and the two clones are doing ok.
