The 70W was bought from cashies but you can buy them from a decent lighting store - the bulbs are available at good stores also for $50/ea.

 

99% of the mites were gone after I flipped the plant and sprayed them with the water blaster. Ill do it again in a week to try and get rid of more. I dont like chemical sprays so this is all Im going to do - Ill pick them one by one when I chop the plant if I have to.

 

One of my stems was sacraficed yesterday.

 

BTW, this is supposed to be an afghani luke. I dont see it either but Ill know soon enough.

50 fuckin dollars for a 70watter bulb? try Light On Cremorne 9953 9167 they quoted me $15 for a 80watter MV bulb white coated new..... they are in sydney

UGh youll be flat-out trying to get a 70W MH dual-ended bulb for under $45 [the cheap Clipsal ones]. Im going for Phillips/Osram and am paying cost+10% - the store actually has $125 on the bulbs but when I said theyre $50 from the net + ~$5 for postage the price dropped [google saves you money - heh].

 

Also, MV != MH. MV = Mercury Vapour [very hot and very red/uv] and MH = Metal Halide [not as hot and very blue].

 

Im tight as a guppies arse so $50 is OK.

i cant seem to get my little light humming
