Cannabis Grow Rooms

I am pumping in fresh air from outside into my small room that contains my grow tent. Now the room i am pumping air into is naturally cool because of the way the house is cut into the side a hill. Tomorrow fingers crossed i will install my intake fan and ducting, (I Will add i have a exhaust system pumping the hot air out of the system under the house.) I have been pondering at what height should i bring in the ducting for the fresh air? All the intakes lay in the ground (heat rises should be coldest on the ground) i thought that if i pump it up high and let the exhaust fan suck it in low that might give it some more time to cool? Or should i pump it in low and …

I was after the quantum badboy t5 lights but i cant seem to find them anywhere that will ship to australia. grr can anyone point me in the right direction? where did you buy your lights from? and where did you buy a inline fan and carbon filter combo from? amazon doesnt ship these to australia either. thanks

Hi all. First grow here and I'm having low humidity issues that are causing my 2 week seedlings leaves to turn brown and crispy. My temp/humidity gauge doesn't record Humidity below 30% (I know it's crap!) so it's showing blank all the time however a bowl of water and a room humidifier haven't solved the prob. Maybe my exhust fan is too strong for my small grow? this must be common in Melb for this time of year? Any suggestions? 250HPS .5 x .5 x.8 grow tent Coco medium Thanks

Hi all, Rejigged my globe for horizontal placement in my grow drobe and it all looks good n all but i've got the globe abit too close to the roof and it's getting a bit toasted! (the roof) Can I put a few strips of Mylar tape up above the globe on the roof to stop the wood getting burnt or will the tape eventually get frazzled as well? Cheers John

I have just seen the light spectrum of the ceramic metal halide from Philips anybody useing them? i was reading they have high ultra violet output, good for sativa's and can be used right through the grow. Plus they run off a hps ballast. I want one or two for my ace seeds, sativas if they are as good as the sales pitch. Any input most apreciated. Tangwena

Hey stoners have enjoyed being a lurker for the last month and have been soaking up plenty of advise from you lot in the hope of having my first successful grow soon! I know there's plenty of threads going round about grow set up but I just wanted to stick my head out and ask a few questions before I have a crack. Sorry if this has been covered previously but... How important is light reflection? I know it is a must have but where should one draw the line regarding how big/fancy/expensive to buy? How do cool tubes compare to glass sealed units and how much of a temp difference can someone expect between these and traditional reflector? Is there any advantage to using reflective material under the canopy if light can penetrate it?
