hi everyone. what lights do you use for indoor growing? I was after the quantum badboy t5 lights but i cant seem to find them anywhere that will ship to australia. grr can anyone point me in the right direction? where did you buy your lights from? and where did you buy a inline fan and carbon filter combo from? amazon doesnt ship these to australia either. thanks

Hi all. First grow here and I'm having low humidity issues that are causing my 2 week seedlings leaves to turn brown and crispy. My temp/humidity gauge doesn't record Humidity below 30% (I know it's crap!) so it's showing blank all the time however a bowl of water and a room humidifier haven't solved the prob. Maybe my exhust fan is too strong for my small grow? this must be common in Melb for this time of year? Any suggestions? 250HPS .5 x .5 x.8 grow tent Coco medium Thanks

Mylar tape

Hi all, Rejigged my globe for horizontal placement in my grow drobe and it all looks good n all but i've got the globe abit too close to the roof and it's getting a bit toasted! (the roof) Can I put a few strips of Mylar tape up above the globe on the roof to stop the wood getting burnt or will the tape eventually get frazzled as well? Cheers John

I have just seen the light spectrum of the ceramic metal halide from Philips anybody useing them? i was reading they have high ultra violet output, good for sativa's and can be used right through the grow. Plus they run off a hps ballast. I want one or two for my ace seeds, sativas if they are as good as the sales pitch. Any input most apreciated. Tangwena

Hey stoners have enjoyed being a lurker for the last month and have been soaking up plenty of advise from you lot in the hope of having my first successful grow soon! I know there's plenty of threads going round about grow set up but I just wanted to stick my head out and ask a few questions before I have a crack. I've been trying to shop smart, buying equipment here and there, some of which are second hand and I feel like I have most of the gear I need to do a very basic 1-2 plant grow (bar the tent which I am going to pick up whenever I successfully get some beans delivered! 0 from 3 attempts so far), but am concerned now whether I have jumped in and bought…

Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this. Been growing outdoors since I was 13 and also pulled off a guerrilla grow under lights in the rainforest! (Yrs ago) will journey back and take a pic or two of the remains for ur enjoyment/ amusement.. I was only 15:D Anywho... Been looking at getting a GL290 tent with 4x1000w cool tubes. I haven't been able to find too much info on this particular setup, not to say its not out there I just having trouble. Sorry if this has been covered previously but... How important is light reflection? I know it is a must have but where should one draw the line regarding how big/fancy/expensive to buy? How do cool tubes compare to glass sealed units and how much of a temp difference can someone expect between these and traditional reflector? Is there any advantage to using reflective material under the canopy if light can penetrate it?

hey my mate has a room which is 3.0 + 1.5+2.0 with 3 600w lights and a carbon filter , 250mm fan with ducting that splits in to a y peice down to 2 150mm got both those at each side of the room sucking heat from the 2 lights, also there is a fan up in one corner of the room blowing hot spots around. His day temps are 29 down to 12 at night what is a cheap way to control the temps especialy summer approaching. cool tubes are not an option. please any one help.

So a while ago I was sitting down and just thinking out loud about different forms of ways to bring natural sunlight into a grow area or living space, things ranging from hardcore installations I've seen on TV shows, professionally installed sunlights that you can expect to find in the average australian home or even some more DIY options. I'm about to do my first autoflowers & can anyone tell me the light & chem cycle? I was thinkn Sprout em under a 24hr fleuro like normal for 2 weeks & then to HPS @ 18/6 with Flores? or a week of 24hr fleuro a week of 18/6 MH with Veg & then the remainder with HPS @ 18/6 with Flores

Hey guys, im an outdoors man my self but moving indoors for a bit of fun, what do u guys use for a all in one climate controller, for the life of me i cant find any good units in 120v im looking for somthing that controls temp, humidity, co2 regulation that is photosensitive. Cap and sentinel make good units but i can't find a single company that makes an aussie version, what do you guys use. Or if some1 could put me onto a 240v recycle timer that would do me for now but can't find anything apart from 120v. Thanks
