"Found an interesting article about CFL's by the master grower Ed Rosenthal and thought i would share it, :http://cflgrowlight.blogspot.com.au/ "In the new Skunk Magazine there was a question in the "Ask Ed" section That I thought was worth posting here for people thinking about using CFL's or HID's for a stealth grow room. . . . The Asked Question Was: I intend to grow a single cannabis plant in a space 1' x 2'. What light would you recommend? I was think of using four 30-watt compact fluorescent lamps. Will this be enough? Cost isn't an issue but I am deterred from getting a high pressure sodium light because of the amount of heat the bulb produces. The An…

Wanted to ask about this, have read that changing the globe over to MH instead of HPS will give the buds an extra kick due to UVb light helping form more THC.... Or something to that effect. Thoughts?

Ok so according to cannaversity this is the recomendation. Cupboard is 680mm x 450mm x 1300mm The maximum is ~200w ... but I've got a 400w .... is this going to cause trouble? too much heat / burning? I've got a couple of 120mm running atm and going to save up for a can fan. Your room is 3.3 squarefeet, please review the three levels of recomendation below suited to your grow room Maximum Lighting 60 watts Per Square Foot Lighting The maximum reccomended lighting for your area is 198 watts Ventilation Going this way you will require a fan with a flow rating of at least 15.2 Cubic Feet per Minute Power Requirements This setup will require 1.1 am…

If you look on youtube for CFL grows and on other american forums grow diary's using CFLs allot of them seem to have these simple light fixtures that are just a simple light socket with a power cord attached or even just a light socket with a plug right on the end. Ive searched the net but i cant seem to find them does anyone know where a person could get these? Also the light shades used for reptile heat lamps, these: http://shop.fantasticfarms.com.au/index.php/products/super-quality-aluminium-dome-reflector-lamp-shade-for-reptile-heat-lamps-or-chicken-brooders.html Does anyone know where a person could get a hold of these for cheap? Much thanks for any help.

Allow all, While Iam 99% sure I got my answer to this, I think its always best to ask. So running a globe at a lower wattage I have read two things. A) That it may change the light spectrum... But reading some tests etc - it does but the change is tiny. That it can damage the globe / shorten the life span. - This I haven't found a solid answer to. So, main questions to everyone here is : Have you ever run a full grow on a 1000w globe dimmed to 600 w from the ballast? If so did it shorten the life of the globe?

Hey! i just got my Phresh Filter and its fucking massive! its not really going to fit inside so i need it on top of the cabinet and let the air vent out. Questions... 1. Should the foam filter that slips over the outside be inside because i will be blowing air out? or am i making this up? haha 2. how should i set it all up.... i was thinking..... Hyperfan > Acoustic Duct > Cool Tube > Acoustic Duct > Carbon Filter (stickin out the side of cabinet) OR Cool Tube > Acoustic Duct > Hyperfan > Acoustic duct > Carbon Filter (stickin out the side of cabinet) which would be more efficient as its my only 2 options …

Hi guys I just got my tent the other day and am about to buy my fans and ducting, just wondering what you guys recommend. It's a 120x160x60 tent I plan on running two 400w lights, it's got one 8" vent in the top, two 4" vents in the back and two 6" vents on each side. I was thinking of running two centrifugal fans like this... - A 4" induction fan at the bottom and then a 6" extraction fan on the other side of the tent up the top, my idea behind this was to get a good air flow across the plants (going from bottom to top across the tent) - Or run a 6" fan induction fan at one end and a 6" extraction fan at the other end. To me this makes more sense to have the same am…

hi all, I'm building a grow bucket with carbon scrubber. But because I live in an apartment building and Im paranoid as f*ck, I want to make 100% sure I get rid of smell by also putting some odour neutraliser next to the exhaust. I found this stuff called "gone gel" today. Is this the same as ONA? If not, where does one get ONA in Australia? http://odourgone.com.au/index.php/featured-products/gone-gel-250ml.html

Hi guys, I have no idea what im doing, but i need to get something going.. I scrounged this up from around the house.. What type of results should I expect? There are 6 x 24w CFL's @ 6500k cool daylight and 1 x 15w Aquarium Light @ 5000k daylight. The seedling is in Osmocotes seed and cutting mix. I want to grow it indoors until its big enough to go outside and finish up in the winter season. The days are still 12 hrs where i am and its hot all year round. The lights are on 24/7 for the last week. Am I on the right track here?

Ok so I'm using a grow lab tent and I bought a new led diamond series xml 350 light it works great plants seem to stretch alittle but nothing horrible . The problem im having is the temps in the grow room are alittle cold running about 70-71 degrees f when I want about 75 maybe this is the cause of the stretching but I was wondering how I could raise the tempeture I have thrown blankets over the tops and sides. The tent is on carpet and I put 2 fans at the top of the tent to blow the hot air down but the temps are still low how could I raise the temp to optimal range. I have read humidifiers but I don't really wanna drentch the room either any suggestions ?
