Will this set up produce results?

Go have read up on The Stoned Jesters grow s an you will have a better chance at growing some ok weed for yourself.

 

But your best bet is to buy a HPS Lighting kit say in the 400watt to 600watt range an you will end up with a lot more weed for your dollar out lay.

Just us the 80-watt-CFL globe for clones or your seedlings,Then hit the girls with the HPS light to flower your girls with an you should end up a very happy little chappy.

Agree with dingo, check the stoned jesters diary. he has a couple of cfl grows, using that light in the link.  he has a hps now though....  the cfl will grow an auto, but the result will be less yield, less dense buds

how about an 80w + 6 24w? how would that go on an auto flower?

im just trying to cut down on electricity cost, the mrs will kill me if i had a 400w hps going... plus i want a bit of stealth its only gonna be a couple of auto flowers at a time...

They will grow with just about any light but to get decent flowers and then decent buds you will need a stronger light. You get out what you put in. Flowering outside would be the cheapest, plus you will get good buds. There is no cheap way to grow decent buds indoors unfortunatly.

But you can grow outstanding buds indoors with a good strong light. The electricity cost will be covered by the savings you make from not having to buy it.

I vedge plants for about 4 weeks indoors on 18hrs light then plant them outdoors in winter, they start flowering within a few weeks and grow nice fat buds.

You will fined that it will cost you bugger all to run a 400watt-HPS,or even a 250WATT-HPS,an you will be happy with the amount of weed you get from that light set up insted of the CFL-set up .

 

 You could go the LED lights but they will cost you quite a lot read up on them here as there is a few posts on them now here.

 

But as Ford has said you will get a lot less weed for the amount of dollars you spend an time.

 

We really are trying to help you make the right choice here an not spend money on things that don't work to good in the weed growing department . 

 

Why do you think 99% of growers use HPS-MH-LED, SET ups to grow weed with.Not because they don't work that's for sure.

Don't buy growlush crap,  There globes are  shit ask anyone here. 

 

They will fail most likely with in a few weeks or months an that is good money straight down the drain.

 

Spend a few more dollars an buy a real HPS globe like a Phillips-SONT- HPS or GE-Lucagrow HPS lamp Just about any other brand of globe than Growlush.

Plus don't buy a growlush 250watt Ballast they are crap as well.

 

An you will find that the shade is most likely made by growlush as well an will be as thin as Ali foil=baking foil you buy at the supper mart's,Email that crew an ask them if it is a growlush reflector.

 

There is quite a few online hydro store's that sell ok cheat hydro gear = Check out Glandore hydro they will sell you some better globes an lamp shades plus they will give you good free advice an not rip you off an sell you shit,plus they will stand by there warranty on all the hydro gear they sell you an will not piss you around an give you the run around with warranty claim's,plus there is a few other hydro shops that sponser this site an will give you a good deal.
