I just bought a 150mm x 300mm Phresh carbon filter for my grow tent. The filter is rated to 318 CFM and my exhaust runs at a maximum of 330 CFM, but I run it on the lowest setting anyway so I'm sure the filter will be able to keep up with it. My questions are: 1. Do carbon filters wear out based on how much they are used or do they wear out regardless of if they're being used or not? 2. How long or how many grows does it take before they don't work anymore? Hello friends! Especially Tunkers you bloody legend This is my light I built from scratch from digikey, ebay and my local aluminium distributor. Please have a look at my light in the pictures. I am a molecamatrician by trade if anyone is asking. Quite a specialised field. This light has a Meanwell HLG-120H-C1050B driver with 6x 2-foot LT-Q562A 3000K Strips and 6x 2-foot LT-Q562A 4000K Strips. Q-series strips. Each bank of 3000 or 4000K strips can be independently turned off if I feel like using just the 3000K or just the 4000K's. I'm getting this thread started prematurely coz fucked if I know when I'll have spare cash to purchase everything but I will put up my small shopping list so far and any thoughts or advice may steer me in the right direction before I spend money. So here's where I'm heading at the moment. I think this is what I'm after... 1 x meanwell 320w dimmable power supply 4 x Samsung F series 3500K LED strips = $265 Plus some aluminium U channel from Bunnings and heat conductive double sided tape. Hi Mates I'm just getting my gear together for my first grow. I am looking at led lights for a couple of reasons. I was in a hydro shop today looking at lights and the bloke recommended this - https://www.mars-hydro.com/buy-mars-reflector-192-led-grow-light-forsale I have a 1.2x1.2x2.0M tent. The hydro bloke reckoned the reflector 192 unit was perfect for my tent. The price was ok too but it's around $120 cheaper on ebay, but you know, stealth. Has anyone used one of these at all. Hello I currently have 3 seedlings under 1 50 watt floodlight which I realised wasn't going to be enough im new to growing indoors I still have a lot to learn haha.. so I'm planning on vegging 2 of them for a few weeks and then moving them outside to flower and the other is an auto that I want to leave in this grow room I recently bought a mars hydro 300w which will arrive in a couple days. My question is would 1 300w be enough for 1 auto? Should I add the 50 watt led aswell or even get another 50w? Cheers guys

Mars has released a video saying they will no longer be making the Mars II series lights. i donno how they will compete with there other models they are either poor models or very expensive They are taking away that great budget light that produces good results they said in the video its out dated been running for 7 or 8 years and many customers are asking them to continue to sell the Mars II models Why on earth would u discontinue something that has a market, is affordable, does a good job that it was designed to do?
