http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2007/12/04/...-marijuana.html Prof. Alan Young - Incredible News For The Country!!! Just received a call from Alan and you'll never guess what - The Judge came back with a ruling - CAROSEL WON in FEDERAL COURT today!!! That means, that section (I think 33B) - 1 was struck down!!!! People are now LEGALLY ALLOWED to grow more than the originally entitled one to one grower ratio!!! This puts us back now to the Laws in 2003 according to Alan, where more than one person can grow together at one time!!! Love and a super HUGE Squish, Alison xx (as per Professor Alan Young)...

Just received a call from Stephanie Wells at CTV's "The Verdict" and she would like me to be a Guest on the show next Thursday with Professor Alan Young, January 24th, 2008 at 9pm. Stephanie contacted me back in December, if some of you remember and the show was cancelled on our way to the studio - the nite of the Show. Stephanie has again offered to send a car for me an hour before I have to be there as the Studio is on the other side of Toronto from where I live. She also offered to let me stay for the entire show to see Alan and anyone else who may be a guest as well... Stephanie was a sweetheart. Not sure exactly what we will be speaking of, other than it will c…

UK: Cannabis Kit Sellers Jailed Despite Pleas Sarah North Derby Evening Telegraph Friday 11 Jan 2008 Two men who insisted they believed their business selling cannabis-growing equipment was legal have been jailed. Paul Fenwick and David Kenning supplied goods, materials and manuals to enable customers of their business, based at Derby Trading Estate, in Stores Road, to grow cannabis plants. They said they had thought that the business was legitimate, especially as it had been checked by police and trading standards officers. The pair even advertised the business - Hydroponics Wholesale - in the belief they were not committing any offence. But when un…

Original article here: http://www.peak.sfu.ca/the-peak/2005-3/issue9/ne-mj.html science: Study shows marijuana increases brain cell growth By Juanita King, The Muse (Memorial University of Newfoundland) ST. JOHN’S, Nfld — Supporters of marijuana may finally have an excuse to smoke weed every day. A recent study in the Journal of Clinical Investigation suggests that smoking pot can make the brain grow. Though most drugs inhibit the growth of new brain cells, injections of a synthetic cannibinoid have had the opposite effect in mice in a study performed at the University of Saskatchewan. Research on how drugs affect the brain has been critical to addiction treatment…

Government to reclassify cannabis in clampdown http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/poli...icle3156255.ece Francis Elliott and Richard Ford Cannabis is to be reclassified as a Class B drug after an official review this spring, The Times has learnt. Gordon Brown and Jacqui Smith are determined to reverse the decision to downgrade the drug when the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs completes its report in the next few months. While its recommendations are not yet known, ministers are already making plain that the Home Secretary is prepared to overrule the expert body if necessary. Reclassifying cannabis as a Class B drug will mean that anyone found in posse…

Not even the hint of a suggestion that tobacco use could possibly CAUSE mental illness - yet if Politicians or the Media get a story about cannabis it's cause without proof! Really makes me angry how easily the public swallows this shit, and how most people won't even register the clear hypocrisy and lack of substance of the "cannabis psychosis" mantra: http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22908849-421,00.html By Tamara McLean December 11, 2007 04:47pm Article from: AAP Font size: + - Send this article: Print Email PEOPLE with mental illness are three times more likely to smoke, and experts say not enough is being done to help this vulnerable group quit. My Turn: It's time to decriminalize marijuana Published: Friday, January 4, 2008 By Ken Freer We lost the so called "War on Drugs" a long time ago and it's time to introduce a little common sense. Gov. Jim Douglas' spat with Windsor County prosecutor Robert Sand brought this issue to our attention just recently. I think that the Vermont Lottery does more harm to Vermont citizens than smoking marijuana. The Lottery Commissioner always shouts, "Please play responsibly!" while he and his staff are dreaming up more games to fleece those people who can least afford to lose the money. Now the governor is talking about leasing the lottery to a private business that will pr…
