Hi Fellow Gardeners, I'm on my second grow. Using Cana coco and DTW feeding via hydro halos from a pump sitting in a 45 litre container under a 400w HPS. I use H&G nutes A+B only. I've got a cheapie ebay PH pen (the yellow one for $12). I think I'm suffering from some type of PH issues at the moment coming into the 4th week of flower but am not sure hence my suspect is the cheap ebay PH pen. I've not calibrated it since I got it about 2 months ago. My PH according to that pen is usually anywhere between 5.3 and 6.6 so according to what I've read that is ok. Tossing up 2 options now and would like to know what members think. 1) stick with the ebay cheapie PH pen an…

Hey... I have discovered something weird with the soil based medium I'm using called Terrazilla... Terrazilla is a "premium bio active growing medium, with superior blend of organic materials and bio stimulants for vigorous growth. Apparently it is also free from gnats, thistles and chemicals harmful to plants (I'm surprised the last one is a selling point, I thought that would be expected). After repotting on the first water using nutes at 500ppm I discovered the runoff was at 2000ppm.... I was somewhat concerned... I watered until I got the PPM down to something sensible (approx 500ppm) and then left it... Next watering when mix was dry enough to need it same thing! 2…

I'm midway through my first grown, DWC in a small tent. I'm thinking I might try a soil grow next, because keeping my hydro reservoir cool is difficult. Supersoil has appeal to me, because it sounds like most of the hard work is done at the mixing/cooking stage. After that I just gotta keep the moisture correct. Sound right? I'm interested in the Dr Greenthumbs type all-in-one mixes. I realize I could follow Subcool's recipe, but I only need a single pot's worth per grow and I'm willing to put convenience over bulk purchase cost savings. A couple quick questions: Is something like Dr Greenthumbs Super Soil kit + myco innoculant + compost tea a complete system? …

Heya all Just wondering if it's a viable idea to reuse your dirt after a grow. Im using canna terra pro, and i've just gotten rid of the stumps of the plant but have two 10l buckets of left over soil. Are there any pro's / cons? Like would the soil still have left over trace nutrients? also full of left over roots as well. or should I just spread it out over my other non-canna plants in the garden?

Hi everyone, I recently was given 20litres of add bud flower enhancer. https://www.hydroworld.com.au/additives/fastway-hydroponics/add-bud-20l/ I would like to give it a go but thought I would ask peoples opinions as I don't know anyone who has used it. I'm currently using a drain to waste with 70/30 coco/perlite with Canna coco, I have just flipped to flower and intend on using a pk13/14 as I normally would. I normally use a recirculating system with canna classic A & B, plus pk13/14 when needed and get good results. Have you used Add Bud and what did you think? cheers

As most weve tried various brands , but with my experience & the use of EC or PPM meters , they are all way out of wack, causing many probs surely there is a nute line that concerntrates on grower & plant well being rather than to sell another bottle of nute im currently using 1/2 to a 1/3 strength of reco mixing rates …….. im not asking what nutes are best you may say if that's the case , just keep doing what your doing , but , there is times were that isn't b…

**I have been trying to contact the company on both their website and Instagram with these questions but got no love. So who better to ask than ozstoners!** So i picked up a 1 ltr set of the green diamond which is supposed to be a coco specific nutrient base. I was a little surprised to see the cal/mag levels stated on the back. While I'm certainly no expert in the matter, I can only base levels off of what I have used extensively, which is canna coco A/B, which I have found to work best in coco, duh? And Lucas formula, which has similar ranges to canna. EDIT: was just comparing bottles again and found that green diamond doesn't have molybdenum in it, again(from a…

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has used or is currently using Bitch'n by Growhard Australia. I'm in week nine of flower with some Dutch Passion Blueberry (which as many of you will likely know is prone to herming) and I've been Bitch'n since I switched to 12/12. I'm aware that the active ingredient is a PGR (ethephon), but as ethephon is widely used in commercial food production I currently assume it's not too harmful. I'm growing in coco under 600 watts with the full line of Canna coco nutes and additives, Bitch'n and some General Hydroponics Calmag Plus, nothing else. Should be ready to flush in about a week. I decided on trying to grow DP Blueberry becau…

I'm planning my next run with Hempys. I'll have a couple of inches of perlite in the res part of the bucket. I've seen plenty of posts from overseas forums saying its mandatory due to the dust. A sludge may form in the bottom of the res area if not. The perlite I have is pictured below. With perlite being as messy as it is I'm wondering if I could avoid the rinse. What do you guys think and do and how? MLG Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

I use H&G cocos in DTW setup. My ppm is steady at 650 now for flowering (tap water 120ppm).1/2 ml per litre of crystalic also added. I picked up some PK heavy today. Does anyone else use it and what rate do you mix it? A rather helpful forum member here suggested 1/2 ml per litre for the crystallic in the past, same for the PK Heavy?
