Nutes & Ratios

Recommended Posts

Hey  all ,   can  someone  please  tell  me  of  a  nute  line  were  you  can follow  recommended , mixing  rates  ??

As  most  weve  tried  various  brands  ,  but  with my experience &  the  use  of  EC   or PPM   meters  ,  they  are  all  way  out of  wack,  causing   many  probs

surely  there  is  a nute  line  that  concerntrates  on  grower  &  plant well  being    rather  than to  sell  another  bottle  of  nute

im  currently  using  1/2  to  a  1/3  strength  of  reco  mixing  rates ……..

im  not  asking   what  nutes  are  best

you  may  say  if  that's  the  case  ,  just  keep  doing  what  your  doing  ,  but ,  there  is  times  were  that  isn't  benifical …..

comments  please

What is your plant media, what stage of growth is the plant at, what is the grow environment?

These all affect nutrients and rates. Most good brands(they have tested their product extensively) of nutrient makers have recommended rates of application, remember, these are recommended rates.

Seedlings, nothing till first true leaves are out. First true leaves, half strength or less, seeing how plant reacts to feeding. There after increase as plant grows(plants are no different than us, more food as we grow bigger), keeping a eye on the plant reaction to feed rates. Don't over feed, just like us, too much food will kill. Water is the same.

There is really no way to say what is absolutely the right rate of feed, the best way is observation, always erring on the low side of maximum. If you remain within the recommended rates, then you have a good chance of being close to right.

You want your plant to have everything of the best to help it grow properly and best. Don't kill it with kindness, be patient, give it only loving care and it will reward you in the end.
