Soil is a living organism

Recommended Posts

Watched an Attenborough type show recently about the mycelium (sp) web. Plants use this fungus like the internet apparently. For example, Plants can send warning messages of impending insect attacks to their mates and start to ready themselves before the aphids etc arrive. Too cool.

How do I plug my bags of coco into that. :)

fungal's are the most time consuming beneficial to build in a soil & can be destroyed very quickly with the use of synthetics & tilling / digging

hence the move , for some people , to organic no till

you can plug your bags of coco in via using it as part of your compost pile , when done mix in some aeration & your off

although you could mix the air in with the coco from the start & when ready plug a plant in , your pretty much inoculating the coco

some even start a compost pile or worm farm in a 20 or 30 gallon geopot & plug a plant in &/or cover crop when ready
