G'day forum, i'm back after years of trial and error. So basically since i've been absent i've ditched almost everything I was doing and started with fresh ideas/concepts. Forget any posts I did a few years ago, i'm a more experienced grower now and ready to get back in action. This winter I was thinking of getting a greenhouse kicking or waiting it out until around spring time, I wanted to share with everyone my soil recipe i'll be using and what i'll be feeding the plants. Hi, Does anyone know where I an buy Canna Terra Professional Plus potting mix in Melbourne. I can find the Terra Professional, but cant locate the "Plus"version. CANNA Terra Professional contains perlite and black peat. CANNA Terra Professional Plus contains tree bark and white peat. For that it is a higher quality product. Thanks for any help

Was thinking about using Coco for a the first time. Just a few questions. Is it reusable after a grow and does it need to be treated. can is be washed and seived to get rid of the root ball. Does it require more or less watering.. any other advice you guys can recommend would be appreciated

Hi guys well Ive got a 100L potting bag here.. Ive got a sensi seeds early skunk this year. Id like a good organic medium. Can anyone give me a good run down in a simple method of what they use?. Ill be using Seasol to feed them. Mix with water and water everyday. Ive been using coco for years and checking ph and measuring nutrients everyday is a PAIN in the ass!!. How Do I check the PH levels in the soil? Obviously if I made up a 50L water bucket with premixed seasol I would adjust the ph in the mixed solution. THanks guys! Coco outdoors gives me the shits!

Using this potting mix: http://www.scottsaustralia.com.au/osmocote/osmocote-professional-potting-mix/osmocote-professional-premium-potting-mix.aspx Is adding perlite unnecessary because of the 'wetting agent' in this mix? Also planning on adding a small amount of lime, dynamic lifter and blood and bone. Is this overkill? The mix already has slow release fertilisers which last 6 months... outdoor grow btw in poor soil; light and course on top and gets quite thick and sticky 3-4ft down (I'm guessing clay)

Been doing a bit of reading aobut Canna A+B nutes for coco... They seem to be very specific about EC readings and the amounts it should differ from your PH water just wondering does anybody measure in this way and if so how do you go about it..my biggest hurdle is how to adjust it if it needs adjusting.. IE lowering or increasing the EC of the nutrients Im a little lost when it comes to the conversion of it...

I have an awesome looking dutch passion mazar... she is still in vegging and nearly outgrown her 55L pot now ! woohoo! Feeding schedule is very basic of Cannazym and Canna A+B.... What possibly Could I add to her feeding schedule to make her thrive and get her even bigger before the flowering starts? Would Gogo juice apply or maybe even seasol? hi fellow oz stoners I've recently switched from soil to coco, have stocked up on canna classic coco a+b veg and flower, plus some cannazyme and rhizotonic. I've still got bioBoost left over from last grow, so I will be using that in flower as well Instructions on the veg a+b say mix part a 1st, part b 2nd (obviously), then let the mix stand for some hours.. How long is too soon (1hr) or too long(24hrs)? when can I mix in the additives, before or after the 'settling time'? I know I need to check and adjust pH after all nutes + additives mixed I haven't used coco, or 2part nutes before, the guy at my local hydro store didn't mention the settling time after mixing. An…

Heya all need some help figuring out this NPK(s) stuff. I know it means Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potassium & Sulfur, but where does each chemical come into play for the plants? is there a good guide on this somewhere? I am currently growing in Canna Terra Pro & using the Canna Bio range - Vega and Flores, they state on the bottles. Vega (3.5 - 1 - 5.5) Flores (3 - 1 - 5 - 1) How are these any different from each other? Don't you need more of one than the other for flowering, and where does the extra - 1 sulfur come into play? Afternoon all, I think I have read the entire forum on nutes, and cant see what I am looking for, so here goes. I have 3 plants (bag seed, growing in 10 lt buckets of good organic potting mix from bunnings, growing outdoors in the back yard, no lights just nature) As the days get shorter, I looking to possibly switch fertilizer to some thing with more P in it, as I have read the flowers use more. I'm currently using Miracle Grow Max feed (22-6-11) and it has treated them well, reasonable size etc for a low tech kind of set up. hey guys when i do my nutrient solution mix i mix it up untill the PH is at around 6.3 but the EC ussualy ends up around 165 - 170 microseimens . Today i checked the run of from my 3 plants wich are all around 14 days old from seedling stage and then run of PH is still 6.3 but the EC is up above 600+ ? is this ok ? i was going to water them today ( around 7 hours ago ) but the coco / perlite was still moist so im going to wait till tomorrow, Im thinking of watering with just strait water tomorrow, will that bring it down ?
