Hi Well I 've got some good news after amputating the branch with the male pods I got back to it after about 3 days and everything looks sweet no males flowers that I can see plenty of ladys flowers coming along nicely checked again 7days after amputation all ok. keeping my fingers crossed about 3or 4 weeks to go at a guess still keeps growing upward though have to keep tying the heads back down and trying not to burn too many, also installed one of those ablite heat diffusers i had from years ago to help things along. Howdy fellow Ozstonerz , I am currently doing a test grow in my cab the Tuggernaut which I am still fine tuning and I have a Very Berry grown from seed that I'm using as a test pilot before going into a full grow. It has been growing in a small rockwool cube in a small pot of perlite (never grown in this medium before) that I had lying around. She is about 6 weeks old now and has been under a 400W HPS for approx 2 weeks. I am using Canna nutes [Vega A & B] and was feeding her 1/4 strength nutes up to 4 weeks while she was under flouros; foliar feeding and misting twice daily. I kept her at these nutes for a few days when she moved under the HID and stopped t…

I tipped the sucker and wierd shit is going on. The 2 new branches came out but also the main stem (that i tipped) is still trying to grow. it looks like a worm, all twisted and shit and the leaves on the end look nuffin like mull leaves. more like chilli leaves. do i cut the top off? let it go and see what happens? or what? thx pplx

heh stoners, ... So there are pretty distinct symptoms that will tell you that you have over-fertilised your plants, the fan leaves will tell you soon enough. But i was thinking more on the side of leaf diagnosis and watering/ moisture levels, ie from looking at the fan leaves on a plant that is relatively healthy, correct PH, healthy root structure, showing no signs of being over-fertilised, can you establish whether you are under or overwatering or whether you have too much light/heat or a combination of all these factors. So like without moisture meters, picking up pots, temp. guage... whatever, no tools, can you diagnose from looking at the leaves only... if …

Ok, frist I'll give you guys a run down of my plants history and then tell you about my problem. We germinated the seeds under two 2 foot flouro tubes (one grow lux and one tri phospour) until they where about 7 cm tall. They where looking quite healthy, and we had fertilised them once with some miracle grow. Then, for reasons that I'd rather not go into, we had to tranfer the plants into a small cupboard and we put them under 2x48 watt compact flouros. Now the top sets of leaves have begun to turn yellow, it started from the middle of the leave and its looks kind of like a rash, its really wierd. I think it was either too much light or the lights are too hot, but I t…

I am going to be away from them for about 5 days, and am worried that they will die on me. They have only just germinated, so I am planning to have them in pots by the end of this week. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to return home and find them dead.... *EDIT* btw I am leaving next monday (Nov 3) Cheers

Each seedling is in its own pot, the potting mix is yates thrive premium mix. They all get about 11hrs of sun each day. They have been getting water when the saucer they are in is completely dry underneath. They have been feed with liquid vermicast. I use a 10 litre watering can and make up a solution that is like weak tea. I think it could be a nutrient deficiency but cannot work out what.…
