Whats wrong with this plant

Recommended Posts

Please help This plant is in a flood and drain system using rockwool and usein one 1000 watt hps to grow under. I only vegged them for a short time so i could tell which ones were female an then regenrate after they have had matured and then use the regenrated plant as mother plants to take clones from. I only have to plants goin this one a bubble gum straine and white rhino that looks fine commpared to this one. They both get the same nuits. I have been usein a few diffrent nuits to try to help them but not really sure what they really need. What is the problem? :D

Looks like its yellowing with some pink in it? We might [should] have a chart in the FAQs about deficiency and what it does.

Some sort of deficiancy probably - could be a PH problem if youre using proper hydro nutes?

The plant looks like its past needing repair as its well-budded but finding the problem might save you next time.

I dont know but 5.5-6.5 is the right level. Someone else might be able to pinpoint the problem but it definately looks like a deficiency problem from where Im sitting. Different nutrients are available at different PH levels so letting it rise from 5.5 [slightly orange] to 6.5 [yellow] is a good idea apparently - a hydro grower can give you some hints.

Make sure youre changing the nutes regularly to keep the ratios in order. Ill keep trying to find this PH chart thats on this forum somewhere so we can see what nutrients PH6.5 will allow the plant to use.

What sort of nutes did you use the most?

Here we go;

PH chart

Deficiency chart

Thanks to pipeman for posting both of those URLs.

See if you can figure out if its missing any nutes depending on the PH level you use. :D

Ugh - you might want to find out what the average PH level of grodan blocks is also but Ive done enough looking for today [took ages to find that PHh chart].

hi brockman

I try to keep my ph between 5.2/5.8.............no way of stopping the drift, but infact this helps as differant nutes ate taken up at slightly differant ph levels.........

I find the majority of hydro nutes are lacking in mg............I solve this with a flat teaspoon of epsom salts to 10L of water then mix up with hydro nutes to the desired EC.............what is your EC? & make of nutes

I strongly suggest you go to www.overgrow.com/growfaq/97.

There you will find 15 pages of information including big colour pics of the plants and what is wrong with them. I have seen your problem in there.

It is the best site I have come across for problem solving. It makes it a hell of a lot easier than looking up some chart.

Good luck and let me know how you go mate.
