Hey guys, i was just curious to see if anybody has tried to grow a plant from seedling for about 2 months if that, in soil, keeping it in its vegetative stage indoors under lights, then dumped it outside at the start of november to let it finish its life cycle outdoors, (flowering season is around about the start of february in my part of the country). I was thinking of doing this with getting results of some big plants, i know it also depends on the strain and many other things, but say if it was a strong sativa that was renown for growing 8ft+ would it do well ? and what strain would you recommend ? First post so hope it isn't too shabby, anyways, bong on!

I'm a first time grower & have received conflicting info & advice from friends & media but I figure if 9 out of 10 people say something works then its a good chance it will. So far I'm about 4 weeks in to the flower cycle using Canna Aqua in a recirculating hydro system in perlite and things were going a bit slow due to what I figured to be a bad environment, being winter the temp in the room was 20deg with light on & 15 with it off, relative humidity was high 60s light on & high 70s light off, after putting in CO2 tablets, a heater, dehumidifier, a circulation fan & a inlet fan (was relying on vacumm from exhaust) a week ago the light on temp is n…

Just over a month ago I checked some plants and I was like I might give cloning ago without any real idea or knowledge how to. I cut three low growing growths plant was about two weeks into flowering. I got a Chinese plastic food container filled up with water and cut three holes in it and cut some Styrofoam up and cut three holes and sat it on top of the container, then placed the off cuts into the holes. changed the water every 1-3 days to keep the water fresh as I don't have an air bubbler. But 3 weeks later I transferred them to soil as I didn't see any growth but they weren't dieing. now its been two weeks and I transfer them to a bit bigger pots and the roots have g…

I wanted to set up an indicator of sorts to let me know when a grow has finished its drying stage. To date all I could find are methods that have to disturb the plant as its drying. I want to keep my hands off the girls for as long as possible in an attempt to keep the sweet sugar right where it belongs. This would be a good sized branch with a cuppla buds on it from the lower branches. I've attached a peg to the end of the stalk as the big heavy wet buds dry they become lighter than the pegs and they pop up into the air. Here they are after one night drying. The other cuttings, in a ventelated dark area, remain undisturbed until this one is finished drying. The last tim…

Hey Guys So this is my first grow EVER. its amazing to watch it grow. So I germinated seeds using paper towel method and planted them. Took about a week for the root to break through and start sprouting Seed strain : not sure Time elapsed so far : 3 weeks(see pics) Grow area : Outside - changing to indoor during vegetative stage Stealth level needed : high My questions are : 1. Is it is already in its vegetative state or still in the seedling stage? 2. What kind of lights should i use at the seedling/vegetative stage and flowering stage? (CFL's /HID's/LEDS's?) - any link to a cost efficient eBay lights that I can purchase? 3. When is it ready for…

Hey fellow stoners . What do you think is a better way to feed plants. From the top like drip fed or halo rings etc or from the bottom like flood & drain or DWC etc. I'm about to upgrade to a hydroponics system & would like some advice on the subject .

Cholo! ok so i said id put some pics up so here they are! ok so the first pic is a seed i got from the local sativa here and unfortunately turned out to be male the rest of the pics are swiss cheese and Master Kush, the small fat budding plant is swiss cheese and the larger ones are Master K.. I wasnt here for there veg stage so i just let nature and the tablets do there job until i returned, as you can see one of the swiss cheese started to re veg so once i got back here i cut her down asap maybe wasnt a smart move but iv read that she will start to lose thc if u let the plant re-veg... anyway my concern now is with the MK shes been flowering for 3 weeks now and im not …

First up a big thanks to Vostok for his post about earth boxes that originally got me thinking about this. https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners.com/topic/58725-hot-hot-hot-try-an-earth-box-then/ Mine aint that fancy, mainly due to remote on foot only location and difficult digging conditions. Here's how I did it: Dug a hole about 90-100cm square (shape shouldn't matter), and about 40-50 cm deep. Then dug a smaller hole in the middle about 25cm square, and deep enough to take most of a 2l coke bottle (the soil was like diggin through iron at this point). Lined bottom hole with plastic, place holey coke bottle with pvc pipe attached to top in hole, fill …

Hello all, With my next grow I am using soil and moving away from hydroponics because I don't have the time to monitor the plants as much and I would like to water every other day or more by hand instead. So I have my soil mix sorted. I am using a good quality organic potting mix called Debco Organic which has no wetting agents or slow release ferts and I'll be mixing that with Perlite, Vermiculite and some Dolomite Lime. My question is: I have quit a bit of left over Canna Classic Vega A&B and Flores A&B nutes from my hydro grows and I was wondering if I could use those in the soil grow? It would save me some cash if I could use what I already have. TIA

Cannabis Cultivation Words And Definitions CANNABIS CULTIVATION WORDS AND DEFINITIONS: Abiotic stress: Non-living environmental factors such as frost, drought, excessive heat, etc. that can have harmful effects on plants. Abscisic acid: mediates stress tolerance responses in higher plants, is a key signal compound that regulates stomatal aperture and, in concert with other plant signaling compounds, is implicated in mediating responses to pathogens and wounding. In seeds, ABA promotes seed development, embryo maturation, synthesis of storage products (proteins and lipids), desiccation tolerance, is involved in maintenance of dormancy (inhibition of germination)…

Thanks one and all for your advice and tips. My situation is that I have a limited time to get the harvest dried and stored. As I've said, this is my first crop that I'll be harvesting, and all the info in this post is valuable to me. The use of a dehydrator in the long term is not my plan, I just needed some help to get out of a tight spot without f*cking up my prized first attempt...! Any other comments and experiences shared will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
