Hey Guys So this is my first grow EVER. its amazing to watch it grow. So I germinated seeds using paper towel method and planted them. Took about a week for the root to break through and start sprouting Seed strain : not sure Time elapsed so far : 3 weeks(see pics) Grow area : Outside - changing to indoor during vegetative stage Stealth level needed : high My questions are : 1. Is it is already in its vegetative state or still in the seedling stage? 2. What kind of lights should i use at the seedling/vegetative stage and flowering stage? (CFL's /HID's/LEDS's?) - any link to a cost efficient eBay lights that I can purchase? 3. When is it ready for…

Hey fellow stoners . What do you think is a better way to feed plants. From the top like drip fed or halo rings etc or from the bottom like flood & drain or DWC etc. I'm about to upgrade to a hydroponics system & would like some advice on the subject .

First up a big thanks to Vostok for his post about earth boxes that originally got me thinking about this. https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners.com/topic/58725-hot-hot-hot-try-an-earth-box-then/ Mine aint that fancy, mainly due to remote on foot only location and difficult digging conditions. Here's how I did it: Dug a hole about 90-100cm square (shape shouldn't matter), and about 40-50 cm deep. Then dug a smaller hole in the middle about 25cm square, and deep enough to take most of a 2l coke bottle (the soil was like diggin through iron at this point). Lined bottom hole with plastic, place holey coke bottle with pvc pipe attached to top in hole, fill …

Hello all, With my next grow I am using soil and moving away from hydroponics because I don't have the time to monitor the plants as much and I would like to water every other day or more by hand instead. So I have my soil mix sorted. I am using a good quality organic potting mix called Debco Organic which has no wetting agents or slow release ferts and I'll be mixing that with Perlite, Vermiculite and some Dolomite Lime. My question is: I have quit a bit of left over Canna Classic Vega A&B and Flores A&B nutes from my hydro grows and I was wondering if I could use those in the soil grow? It would save me some cash if I could use what I already have. TIA

Cannabis Cultivation Words And Definitions CANNABIS CULTIVATION WORDS AND DEFINITIONS: Abiotic stress: Non-living environmental factors such as frost, drought, excessive heat, etc. that can have harmful effects on plants. Abscisic acid: mediates stress tolerance responses in higher plants, is a key signal compound that regulates stomatal aperture and, in concert with other plant signaling compounds, is implicated in mediating responses to pathogens and wounding. In seeds, ABA promotes seed development, embryo maturation, synthesis of storage products (proteins and lipids), desiccation tolerance, is involved in maintenance of dormancy (inhibition of germination)…

Thanks one and all for your advice and tips. My situation is that I have a limited time to get the harvest dried and stored. As I've said, this is my first crop that I'll be harvesting, and all the info in this post is valuable to me. The use of a dehydrator in the long term is not my plan, I just needed some help to get out of a tight spot without f*cking up my prized first attempt...! Any other comments and experiences shared will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Howdy Y'all.. I have a question regarding tents. I am considering buying a tent for the first time, as I inevitably have trouble with light leakage in my room... However, after doing some research I came across a tent that claimed to be the darkest tent available... This caused me to put my finger on my chin and say "hmmmm" , does anyone have trouble with light leaks in their tents? or is this just marketing BS.. Cheers Puka

I came across this post by backcountry 2009, thought it might be of use to Aussie growers suffering from the stifling heat. Here: .icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=128405 detail: icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=108418

Hi all About 8 weeks ago i didn't even know what a scrog was, but having done a bit of research am attempting it on my first ever grow. My gut feel is that my little bit of knowledge is probably dangerous in this situation and I will most likely regret my decision. So wanted to show you all how it looks and get some advice as to whether I should bother or is it too complex for a newb? Strain: train wreck by greenhouse seeds Age: about 6 weeks (grown from seed) Thanks P.S can't seem to attach pics via iPad, will do so in the morning on my laptop.
