G'day everyone i just found this page and joined about 10 minutes ago. Cut 2 lower pieces off one of my frisian dew plants about 5 days ago and dipped them in powder, than poked them in some potting mix. They were wilted and looked dead until yesterday when i noticed one standing up. Just noticed the other one wanting to do the same. Wasn't expecting it to work, was more of a muck around as i've never done clones and didn't do much research. Here's a pic of yesterday and then today. Cheers Last reply by bakedcake, Last reply by bakedcake,

Some bittersweet D, a bunch of sativa hybrids mostly SD crosses and Texas G a few more black domina hybrids. Soil picture just before turning. Two weeks ago. Palm fiber, dolomite, ash, chicken guano, tilled top cover: clover, borage, comfry. Food compost, worm compost, kelp meal and liquid kelp and fish. Vermiculite for drainage. Ready for planting. … Last reply by kloud9, Last reply by kloud9,

My fellow horticulturalists, Has anyone tried propagating plants using leaf cuttings? And has there been any success? I am currently doing two experiments: 1) with a tiny leaf with a small piece of stem attached, dipped in clonex purple and set in sphagnum moss in a cup under plastic wrap. After a week the leaf is still green, but no signs of growth. Female parent plant, basically Colombian Gold two month old plant. 2) is a fan leaf with seven segments and leaf petiole attached. No stem tissue. I dipped the base of the petiole in clonex purple and set in sphagnum moss with no cover on an inside window sill. Only done today so no progress to report. Male parent plan… Last reply by kloud9, Last reply by kloud9,

Hi eveyone, I have been trying to answer these questions for a while now.... Will my plants eventually deteriorate because I take one clone from another, rather than maintaining a mother? And if so, how many generations of plants do you think can be produced? What sort of changes do you think I will see? Interested in opinions, experiences, anecdotes.... lou Last reply by stickymickey, Last reply by stickymickey,

So I lost some males in a few strains and was planning on making some fem seeds anyway from some of my fem plants using silver. With my regular females, am I able to make say one branch throw male flowers and pollinate the other half of the plant with it? Or would I be better off crossing it with a different strain? Does anyone know if you pollinate an Auto with feminized pollen from a Photo-period will the seeds be Autos? I am thinking that as the progeny would still have the Ruderalis strain in them they should still have the Auto qualities? Cheers Z Last reply by zeuss, Last reply by zeuss,

So i have seedlings which need to go in the ground as the roots are starting to get a bit big for the pot. The roots are circling around but not rootbound badly. Problem is we are sitting on 42c at the moment and all week looks the same. If i transplant tonight and water pots well should they be able to handle heat or will i end up killing them? Away for a week so its either now or next weekend Last reply by kloud9, Last reply by kloud9,

Planning to give a dose of neem into my hempy Buckets as a "just in case". Got a few brown blotches on lower leaves. Is it OK to mix with nutes as per normal and water straight in? Being hempy, some neem will sit in the hempy res until next watering. Or, better to just do plain water and not a thorough soaking as I've read it's only the first 10cm of coco you need penetrated to get rid of gnat eggs if they are there. I've got 3 NL and switched to 12/12 78 days ago. That's 11 weeks. Giving 2 weeks or so to show preflowers I should be seeing the end of this grow soon. But this time I've noticed the buds have not fattened up like previous grows. I've always had the light too close and been too heavy on the nutes but this time I've played it safe and backed off both a little. My current ppm going in and out is 700 and my lights seem to be ok, no light burn. If I look at the buds themselves I can see they are not ready (trics all clear). The plants seem very leafy moreso than buds fattening up. I'm using H&G in all coco. Any suggestions as to what more I could be doing in the final cou… Last reply by midlifegardner, Last reply by midlifegardner,

Hi, as I received quite a few freebies from seedsman this year, I am just wondering if you can plant your cuttings straight outdoors and get them going, I was thinking maybe a seed raising or potting mix and maybe shadecloth over the top till the get up a bit? Don't have anything indoors and don't plan on it. Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated, thanks. Last reply by .............................., Last reply by ..............................,

Considering 4 hempy Buckets under a 400w for my next grow. Not a fan of autos anymore but I have beans which seem a shame to waste. Growing 2 of each strain (bubblegum and WW max), one is advertised as a 65 till harvest and the other 80 till harvest. Add 2 weeks I guess to those figures. I've seen some 12 L square Buckets in bummings. I've normally heard 1 gal for each month of grow so they should be ok. I'm asking because I've always used fabric pots in the past so never had to worry about getting root bound so much. Is a 12L hempy bucket setup OK for 3 months of grow? Won't get root bound?
