Hi all, I am new to the forum and I thought with Spring on the way this would be a good first post. This is somthing I used last year and it worked very well, I grew all my herbs and chillis from seed using this method. It is great to allow seeds and seedlings to spend some time outdoors before potting or transferring to the garden beds. I only have room for 1 Cannabis plant so I have germinated it along with my herbs and chillis for this year. Those with larger operations may find it useful to get your seeds going very cheaply. But as a first time grower I don't know if there are any ill effects from starting a seedling in the natural cycle of the sun then moving…

Hi all, I want to purchase a cloner. One of those ones you put in the little puck things and sprays inside the box. I tried making one years ago and am too bloody lazy now. Any opinions please on ebay or store bought brands. Would like something capable of holding at least 30 at a time. Cheers for any advice.

Hello everyone, just getting my first batch of seedlings going after a year's break and I have a question for the growers who use an 80W Philips CFL. My seedlings are between 1-3 days old and are now too numerous for my 24W CFL to light adequately. I have an 80W but don't know how far away from the seedlings to keep it. Obviously this is my question... how far away from the top of new seedlings should I hang the light? Thanks and best wishes for the new season. lou

Gday guys, Big Bang 2 femenisedseeds This is my first grow which i ve been using just normal bulbs from out of my shed in a wardroble annd a desk lamp.I went into the experience with only enough knowledge to get it going. Im not sure exactly how old the plant is as I have not kept track of that. Im investing in a hps set up and moving it to a more roomy and stealth place before it starts to reek. I got a ph tester yesterday and it has been reading between 6.8-7.0. Im using cana coco 20 per cent pertlite and feeding it with dutchmaster gold range a and b with a gallon of purified water. Id just like to know where i am going wrong and what to improve on. Thank you.

hey, guys wondering if any 1 has used richgro seedling mix? Iv just had 4 baby's die on me which were started in rockwool, I also have canna terra pro So pretty much wondering what's my safest bet richgro seedling mix or Canna pro with 20% perlite Cheers guys

hi, guys so i got a problem with my plants or 1 any way Only s couple of days old no true leaves yet but the cotyledons are turning yellow Germinated in paper towel then into rockwool soaked in water with ph of 5.5, grown under led with true wattage of 160, Any help is majority appreciated

After several unsuccessful cloning attempts - in rockwool, in aeroponic cloner, in a glass of water - I came across this really easy method and decided to give it a try. Since then I've had 100% success rate in 2 separate attempts with very little effort. I would post a link to the page but unfortunately can't remember where I read about it!! Fill container [i used clear disposable cups] with coco and saturate thoroughly. Poke a hole in the coco. Prepare your cutting - no need to trim or cut leaves to reduce leaf area - and stick it into the hole and press the coco back firmly. HI, need some advice about a light for clones and seedlings, trying to rebuild on the cheap found this at bunnings http://www.bunnings.com.au/ironhorse-ultra-cool-portable-55w-cfl-worklight_p7070616 would this be suitable. They would only be under for 4-6 weeks max, will build a cabinet to suit already have 2 computer fans.

So I haven't been able to get the full potential from this particular plant. (Original GDP) She was cracked late & I didnt really care about her too much. After successfully taking my first clones from my #1 plant this year now I was thinking of cloning her. Today when I finally got around to going to take a clone I realized she had an abundance of pistils & has started flowering. Not far of course but thought Id ask some peeps with some more experience before I waste my time trying. I've read about re-vegging & all that jazz but just want to take a clone, get it to root,transplant & keep it alive in veg. Check the pic is it too far or possible?

Hi guys Thought I'd put up a tutorial on how to roll a "Cuban Seed Splitter". I devised this method a couple of seasons ago just buy chance and a bit of ingenuity. I used to use the tried and true method of paper towel on a plate but after coming up with this I haven't looked back. The Cuban Seed Splitter is just a modified version of the paper towel on plate method but needs less attention due to its reduced surface area resulting in less evaporation. Ive been looking for a decent box to make an aerocloner out of and all the boxes/storage totes from bunnings are made of that crappy hard plastic that cracks the second you look at it so there is no way I will be able to cut 30 holes without breaking and I looked at ordering a Rubbermaid tote from the states but that is stupid expensive on shipping $100+ so does anyone here know where I should look to get this cloner on the road?
