It's my first harvest in over 5 years, so im a bit rusty. This stuff looks to be done on a lot of the tops. but underneath on lower branches seem to be plenty of white hairs. A general rule i used to go by is when over half of the hairs are orange, than its ready. This looks mostly orange on top...should i cut the crop, or maybe just take off finished pieces. Im in week 5 1/2 at the moment. I was expecting another week of heavy growth but some looks done!!! What should i do!!!! In this pic you can see majority are orange, but the cola hasn't totally filled out like i was hoping. (partly i think because i had to go on vacation and couldn't trim lower branches at the pr…

Hi guys, what are your thoughts on buds that have been dried and compressed and left for a few years. the smoke quality is very mild, and it smells a little musty like a cross between cigars and the stuff that we used to get over in Egypt and the middle east - tourist weed What's the general opinion on this type of gear? Good for nothing, good for cooking - very interested in bringing this into the kitchen? And just a little worried about the musty smell, don't want to be inhaling any more nasty than already necessary. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

has anyone tried mixing ground/chopped cloves with their bud while it dries? i thought of it the other day while smoking a 'gudang garam' clove cigarette from bali, i find that cloves have a very pleasant odour and when smoked they have a fresh taste and actually numb your mouth and throat (i think they have quinnine or some similar anaesthetic) in them. just a thought, wouldnt mind trying it next time im able.

There is little doubt that environmental factors have a strong influence in modulating the amount of cannabinoids present in the different parts of the plants at different growth stages, as demonstrated by a number of articles (e.g., LYDON et al. 1987 Down; BOCSA et al. 1997 Down). However, the tripartite distribution of CBD/THC ratios in most populations is likely to underlie a discrete inheritance of the chemotype trait. Indeed, most authors agree that cannabinoid profiles are under strong genetic control. According to BEUTLER and DER MANDEROSIAN 1978 Down, the ratio of CBD/THC is a chemical marker of taxonomic significance. FOURNIER et al. 1987 Down stated that the can…

hi.......... ok ive had my crown heads hanging upside down for about a week and a half.........They felt crisp on the outside but were obviously still not completely dry in the middle......... I then put them in paper bags for another week................ felt a little dryer than before, but could still feel they werent 100% dry in the middle............ Example , some of the leaf stems hat are still attached to the buds DONT snap off....they just bend without snapping so even though they feel quite crisp on the outside, they arent completely dry yet as the leaf stems arent snapping off......... Cani jar them now, or should i wait longer ? cheers JASOon

If a plant has been vegged maybe a little too long and only the end 14 to 16 inches of each branch are thick and full of bud but below that line are hundreds of scraggy little hairy buds, would taking the top 14 to 16 inches away improve the size of the under buds if they were to keep going for awhile. If so, at what week would I cut the tops out and how much longer should the under buds go for. any help appreciated aussie1

Ive just harvested my 1st out of 3 plants and ive already hung it up to dry and recently i moved it to a glass jar. Ive noticed that it doesnt even smell like weed it smells more that grass trimmings from your lawn. I was just wondering why it wasnt smelling much like weed and if there was something i did wrong during the process so i wont do it to my other 2 plants.

On my first grow when i didnt know anything about anything i ended up drying my buds in plastic sappos. This was a naive attempt to accelerate the drying process as I wanted a smoke sooner. So, I semi dried the normal looking buds in a cupboard for a week/ ten days or so and then seperated the semi dried manicured buds into small sappos and squashed them into them bottom of the bag then basically vaccum sealed the bag simply by squishing the air out. I then placed the bags in direct sun for about 1/2 to one hour and then removed the buds ( very high moisture content in bag after this ) and left them in a bowl in the direct sun turning them every ten or so minutes. I did…

Long time no post! Unfortunately I didn't notice one of the females had turned herm and ruined all 5 plants with friggin seeds - my first grow. I ended up with like 6oz. Anyway, I water cured 7 days and have given a pile way to mates. Ive been rolling joints - something I haven't done for years, but the smoke is so smooth you don't need a bong - but the drawback is very little taste for those that love that sweet aroma! The high reminded me of a weak acid trip, with no visuals or anything -- but pleasant and cruisy Now I have a lot of respect for the long time growers and experts -- it was a one off experiment for me -- a nice experience, but I'm leavin it to…

hypothetically how bad would the buds turn out IF... the plants were left intact and thrown into rubber trash cans WHICH were then taped up with duct tape (air tight) and the buds were left in there to cure... possibly months even before trimmed properly... are they even going to be smoke-able?
