there are these things called dutch pots whcihc are being sold at grow.com for 455 bucks with light(400 Watt High Pressure Sodium light kit), 400 Watt UltraSun lamp , that's kinda steep. Should i get the normal kit without a light for 225 and buy flouros, or build my own one, Please Help crzc

hey ive got and outside grow @ the moment of 5 plants and at the end of this month im going on holiday for 1 or 2 weeks and wanna make sure my plants are ok when im gone. Because it can get pretty hot throughout the day they need watering every second day. So far ive got a plastic water tank thing that holds 9-10lt and drilled a hole in the bottom and put some irregation pipe into it. Sort of a drip system and the end i crimped it and put a pin hole for the water to come out. The result is a small water drop that continuosly drips slowly out. Hi All, Pic was takin about 4 or 5 weeks ago, I've had him/her under a 12/12 cycle for 1 week, 2 days, and it's getting rather large. I've read that a satvia's flower cycle can last upto 20 weeks!!!! If this is the case, how much larger might I expect it to grow?? Currently it stands at 54cm. I've recently (last weekend) lined the cupboard it's growing in with aluminum foil (dull side out) to try and increase the amount of light getting to the plant, but it's rather noisy now (i've got a desk fan on continuously to try and keep temps down), can anyone suggest a quick/cheap way to cut down on the racket? hey, i'm planning on growing in the next few weeks and i've never built a grow room before. I wouldn't mind raking in a couple Os from the whole thing and i've been doing research about homegrowing for about a week now(about 6 hours a day) so i have a fair bit of info. I don't know if i should try and build a grow room or buy the SpaceMonsta 8. I was just sorting thru some old pics and I found this one of a bud from an early system. This was from a plant grown in 2 x 4 inch rockwool cubes(one on top of the other) surrounded by expanded clay in a 1.5 litre basket. The baskets sat in kitty litter trays and wicked up the nutes - they were plantastic nutes at that stage. I flushed with water once a week. It shows that big solid buds can grow in simple cheap passive systems. Point : THey were however grown under a 400 watt hps, not flouros. I think one of these costs about $150 - 200 with a ballast nowdays. So, a tip to newbies, put your initial money into a good light and a pair of fans. Youre lookin at about…

Sup guys i just got a quick question ive got a skunk x white widdow in bloom at the moment and its seems to b buddin on the richest peak of the leaf is.. its where the steam connects to the leaf, but it is only seeming to grow on 2 leafs on my whole plant.. the plant is about 3.5 months old now 2.5m veg/1m flower.. can u tell me how to increase this, as im sure its not a problem but sumthing, goood.. and why dose it only happen on certain leafs..? much respect Ele

Hi all, I'm just wondering the best age to start flowering. I've got a few babies at 3 weeks old and 1 at 8 weeks. The 8 week old VB is already showing pre-flowers. Can i start flowering now?, Or do i have to wait longer before they are mature enough to turn the lights back?. Any help much appreciated, Thanks.

I just had a thought when I was looking at the hydroponics website where I am a member aswell, they have a food & plant dehydrator with six drawers for $308.51 (members price) I was thinking just as an experiment how about using the machine to dry the buds and see what happens?if I was to purchase one I would certainly shop around for a better price Just a thought Happy hunting
