hey, i'm planning on growing in the next few weeks and i've never built a grow room before. I wouldn't mind raking in a couple Os from the whole thing and i've been doing research about homegrowing for about a week now(about 6 hours a day) so i have a fair bit of info. I don't know if i should try and build a grow room or buy the SpaceMonsta 8. I have a couple qs about this thing if anyone can answer them: Is the any odor remover that comes with... if not where can i buy or or see a good link where i can make one(i checked overgrow.com, but that one is too big, one factor being that i don't have too much space) Is it a good system, and is the fan a good one Would i ne…

I was just sorting thru some old pics and I found this one of a bud from an early system. This was from a plant grown in 2 x 4 inch rockwool cubes(one on top of the other) surrounded by expanded clay in a 1.5 litre basket. The baskets sat in kitty litter trays and wicked up the nutes - they were plantastic nutes at that stage. I flushed with water once a week. It shows that big solid buds can grow in simple cheap passive systems. Point : THey were however grown under a 400 watt hps, not flouros. I think one of these costs about $150 - 200 with a ballast nowdays. So, a tip to newbies, put your initial money into a good light and a pair of fans. Youre lookin at about…

G'day dudes: my first post here!! I'm a small outdoor grower have been for the last 6 years. I'm interested to find out how your experiences with growing Aussie strains & overseas strains have turned out. Over the years I've grown: Yr 1: Aussie Sativas; Hydro Indicas Yr 2: Sativa Crosses of some type Yr 3: Crimson Wowie (a homegrown strain given to me by a friend) Yr 4: Skunk (from overseas) Yr 5: Bushfires Yr 6: This time I'm trialling 3 strains: -Coogee Red -BL -North Coast Bush I found that the Skunk, even though the smoko was totally mind-blowing, didn't take as well as the Aussie strains. It took a lot of extra effort to keep it healthy. Mostly me &am…

Hi all, I'm just wondering the best age to start flowering. I've got a few babies at 3 weeks old and 1 at 8 weeks. The 8 week old VB is already showing pre-flowers. Can i start flowering now?, Or do i have to wait longer before they are mature enough to turn the lights back?. Any help much appreciated, Thanks.

I just had a thought when I was looking at the hydroponics website where I am a member aswell, they have a food & plant dehydrator with six drawers for $308.51 (members price) I was thinking just as an experiment how about using the machine to dry the buds and see what happens?if I was to purchase one I would certainly shop around for a better price Just a thought Happy hunting

I did a fair bit of research before starting my grow, but what I didn't do is plan everything out and get my cabinet running and tested before I started growing. Now I've had plants growing for about a month, I still have to put up sheets of ply and blankets at night around the cabinets to stop light leaks being seem from outside the room. Also when the doors are closed the cabinets get up to 36 degress, so during the day I have the doors open with an oscillating pedestal fan in front of them. So in short I've got two cabinets running way too hot with light leaks galore and no smell control in place yet and I want to put these babies into flower within the next mont…

Marijuana is perhaps the only plant in history grown primarily for its trichomes. Whether used for hashish or marijuana the objective is the same: production and harvest of THC-rich trichomes (crystals). Yet often the cultivator loses sight of the real goal of growing this plant. Bud size, density, coloration, flavor and odor are all of little value if they do not produce the euphoric sensations we seek. Trichomes and resins Trichomes come in many shapes and sizes and are used by plants for many different purposes. Cannabis uses its trichomes for a variety of purposes, some of which require THC and other cannabinoids to be effective, and others that do not. The prim…

one of the most common reasons for ppl getting busted in Holland for growing (hehe,..yes, they bust ya here too) is becouse of smell leaking out the growroom! there's allways some one who's calling the cops,...even these sweet neigbours of yours, happenes a lot. Anywayzz,..there's an easy way to make sure there's no smell leaking out of your grow, or dry room (drying gives the most odeur/smell) here it is : first make sure your growroom is airtight. that's nearly impossible to do but try to secure the biggest airholes. when that's done what you need to do is make sure you have a more powerfull fan at the outletair of your growroom than on the inlet-fresh-air fan! wh…

i have a few plants outside and one of which would prove to be an excellent mother. i'm planning my hydro grow but only planning as single grow room, with seperate clone/seedling facilities. my question is would having an outdoor mother be as effective as an indoor mother to avoid seperate light cycles etc. the plant is nice fat and healthy and would love the full 18 hours of light a day i'm guessing. thoughts and suggestions ?
