I was going to grow in the crown land near my house with a good mate from school. Anyway I've got all the sites ready and got all the gear together, basically all the hard work and I've realised I can do all this for myself!! How should I ditch my mate softly? Please help coz he is a good mate of mine. P.S He doesn't know where the sites are. Thanks, Marty

I have two sativa babies under fluros which i want to transfer outdoors. Problem is their day cycle at the mo. is during the night so if i put them outdoors during the day(at the end of their "day" cycle) they will get probably 28 hours of solid light. Is this a problem or can any of you growers suggest some way to do it? thanks

I have just started growing indoors having grown outdoors for a few years(in another country). I found a good natural plant to fertelize is Comfrey, yep thats right, good for burns, sore joints and fertilizer!!! You can grow em round your plants as they do not get big and like a little shade. Then simply remove and place the mature bigger leaves around the stem of the plant to decompose(mulching) or leave em to rot in a container with water and use later. They dont need any attention, just a little water now and then. Very good companion plant.....always had good results without using any chemical nutrients.

I have read heaps that foliar feeding should only be done just before lights out, can anyone tell me why please. I know that foliar feeding plus a full light cycle equals mould(by experience). Any other reasons?

Hi all, does anyone know stuff about what makes plants grow at certain altitudes - ie is it the mix of oxygen, or air pressure or temps or all these combined? Could you fake it in a growroom? For instance to grow Arabica coffee at a low altitude? Just wondering. But if you don't tell me I will hack all of your toilets via email and backup your systems!! Vazzack

I got this idea that I'm thinking of trying. put a rooted plant in a small 50cm net pot with clay balls in a bucket about 15L, or maybe smaller, or put a few of them sog style in the lid of a rubbermaid type container. Instead of having a bubbling solution you just periodic drip feed through the top of the netpot. The plant bucket is higher than the res, so the water drips through the roots that are just hanging in the bucket, the water then drains back to the res. the reason I thought of this is that I want a system that makes it quick and clean to root prune mums. With those little 50cm netpots from the hydro shops that are cone shaped it would be easy as anything…

Just bought a digital camera the other month so I thought i'd put it to some use. Here is my grow box, which I use for veging clones, mother plants and seedlings. I have got two mothers Haze Special, Golden Skush and some Early Durban, Afghani #1 seedlings in there at the moment. The box is 4' long 3' high and 1.3' deep it is on caster wheels so I can move it around. There are 4 36W 4' flouros providing the light, i use a combination of cool white and daylight tubes. There is 1 120mm inlet fan blowing 80cf/m in, while hot air is vented through piping out the bottom. Both the inlet and outlet are fitted with inbuilt light traps.

How do you guys flush at the end of your grow? I read 2 weeks straight water is best, but how do I know when to start the 2 weeks if i dont know how long the strain takes?? do i start when the trichromes go milky or still clear?? also I brought this stuff thats a flush, that is you add it a couple of days before the harvest and it apparently gives it a flavor in my case strawberry, but it takes ALL the nutrients out of the plant, anyone give me feedback on these flushes??

Hi all, been a while since I asked anything, and this has been wracking my little brain for a bit. I remeber WC saying something about experimenting with rootpruning bubbler plants, something a lot less stressful than the comparitive effect on a media based plant. I've had to thin out the canopy substantially on Bacchus, the bubbler plant, and about 1/3 of the total canopy and vegetation is now pruned away, with the major branches and buds turning to veg now. The rootmass, whilst large, still has some room to grow, but I was wondering whether a root prune at this stage would be a good idea, to allow for fresh root growth to come through, as well as getting rid of any …
