General Cultivation Q&A

my mate has his crop growing. It's about the stage where the plants are starting to show their reproductive organs. Does the male plant contain enough THC in the leaves to make you high. We would like to keep some leaf to make hash cookies for an all day buzz. We would like to know if it is worth taking the leaves off the male plant to make some leaf before we destroy them.? Also if we were to keep the male plants just to get leaf, how far away should we move them from the females to stop them from recieving the pollen.?

Greetings, I just switched some plants into 12/12. One strain, Dutch Passion Orange Bud has 4 plants with male-looking preflowers. Three others have female pistals. I don't want to pull the "males" just yet after reading that some male looking preflowers can turnout to be females after 12/12. Is that true in your experience? Can male preflowers release pollen? I never really paid attention to the preflowers in my previous grows. Thanks for any feedback!

Hey fellas. I'm totally new to growing..infact I'm not even a pot smoker or anything. Me and my mates thought it'd be fun to do little stealth grows at our houses. Anyway, I chose to grow 2 plants in a computer case (see pic). There's not much space (at all) so I have to plan ahead how I'm going to manage the height. (This is no serious growing operation, just enough for myself hopefully) Can someone help me out with growing techniques? I've been reading about tipping and fimming and pruning..but yeah, being new, they've all sort of merged together in my mind. Remember, I'm new and stupid

gudday,i took some clones off a reveging,outdoor growing indica yesterday.i'm just doing the old coke bottle method. are they getting enough fresh air each time i spray them.during the day i give them a good spray every couple of hours and a couple of times at night this is the first time i have taken mj clones,i've tried to find the answer,but most clones seem to be taken from mother plants that are grown under lights and not grown outdoor. thanks heaps

Hi Ive just started a recirculating system 2 pots with expanded clay balls, under 400w light, the nute timing flows for 15min then stops for 30min, Im using a TDS meter @ 1.0 until theres a few more leaves then going to around 2.0 for the rest of the veg cycle, does this timing and strength sound ok?. Hi all im looking for advice on setting up my first hydro grow, I have the buckets and piping and will be buying the rest when I have decied on what system im going with. I am growing in a wardrobe, it will just be the two buckets. Bubblers are out of the question as they will make to much noise. I may go with bubblers next grow as i am currently designing a grow cabniet to combat noise. I need to setup something that will be easy to look after and cater to a noob like me. I will be getting a trunchie soon but not for a few months.
