General Cultivation Q&A

Most of my plants are between 12" and 18" tall. They're healthy, but don't have many alternating nodes for cloning. I want to turn them to flower before they get to 2' tall as I only have about 4 1/2' of growing hight. A couple of them are already 2' tall with just a main stem and few leaves on them. What should I do?

i have a ebb and flow system with 30litre pots, and am currently using hydroton. i was considering changing to diatomite for various reasons, mainly silica and apparently this medium has little or no salt buildup. has anyone had any experience with this? i have been growing for years with hydroton watering 15mins every 3 hours and have had no problems. i was going to use a finer grade diatomite http://www.maidenwell.com/ 2mm-7mm. also any suggestions as to how high to flood the pots? im currently flooding only the bottom third as hydroton floats, the root mass stays restricted to approximately this area, so i was considering filling the pots to a higher level ie …

My marjuania plant just sprouted a few days ago.. and i am concerned about it because it has been raining on it for the past few days on and off.. i have a hole in the bottom of the plant pot so too much water can drain out.. will my plant be ok??? it wont die will it??

i have just turned my plantsto flower and i wanna take some cuttings on the weekend i am just wondering if doing so will it stress the plant at all or is there something i can put on the branch where i cut to help it

Hey guys hope all is well.. thanks for all the previous help... its been invaluable, this is my latest... this is ak 48 from nirvana.. 16 days old.. the second leaves are differant ? is it the strain ??? or am i overwatering???.... has anyone any knowledge of ak 48 and know of any tips and tricks ..... oh and is this strain a rip of of ak 47, as in seeded ak 47 renamed ak 48... if they are girls will add entire grow... wat is best??? 2 x 18 watt grolux or 1 x gro lux and 1 x 18watt 5000k??? thanks all your assist is so helpful... peaceout..someone

I know about the different types there are, such as sandstone, ceramic etc. What I need to know mainly is just what size you would all recommend to me for a 25L bucket DWC system? I am running a 9500cc pump and have only purchased a small round sandstone airstone, probably about 5 inches across. I haven't started my grow yet, I'm still getting the gear together that I need. hey stoners.i am about to plant my plants outdoors in the ground.i have found a perfect place i dug 4 holes they are about 2 foot wide and about 3 foot deep but i have ran into a problem its like half soil and half clay and it was that hard after digging 3foot down i had to stop its as hard as cement on the bottom.what can i do its the only place i can plant them where they will get good sun.any help would be good

I'm currently vegging and the plants are 12 inches tall. At what hight should I switch to 12/12 for flowering if I want them to be 4 1/2 foot tall?. Some people have said they will strecth to twice the hight, others say 3 times the hight. There are 3 different strains, White Widow, Northen Lights and Purple Power <- which is a 60/40 Indica Sativa mix, half Hollands Hope and half Skunk #1
