Hi guys. Im 67 yrs old and have noticed the last 10 or so yesrs the whole culture has exploded. All these crazy names. Strains covered in trichs and weird and with wacky colours. I must say I have seen some awesome lookin buds in california as I reside there for treatment of my cancer. Infact ive decided to go back in a few days for 3 years. It seems its getting harder to find the original OG strain we knew in old catalogues through the 80s and 90s. Old northern lights. Old ak47 etc. It seems however the true breeders of it have changed it aswell they have been reworked and they are just not as good. . They are not what it used to be. Ok so I've got it all coming together, have my fans, HID, watering ok, basic soil nutes ok. And my Northern lights photo going good. My tent is good cos lights provide good heat and the air intake right under my ac outlet, so good in summer too. Generally happy. My question, I have my photo on dark 8pm to 2am, reason for slot was so could attend after work etc before dark period. However as the cold approaches, I feel I'd be better with the light on during night. So I'm looking at moving my dark period. Can I just move it to a better time but still 18/6, or do I need to do it in graduations, as in move it an hour a day... Or would that stress more, so do in one hit? O…

Hi all, pollinated a few girls yesterday but had a few showers of rain maybe 3 or 4 hours later. Would that have been long enough or will I have to hit them up again? Thanks

I've recently started a new grow, only my second actually. I've also got a new light, HiPar DE 315W CMH (double ended bulb, not two 315W bulbs) with control ballast (dimmable 50-100%). My only previous light was a HLG QB, so this is new tech for me. Tent is 60*120*210cm and has three seedlings in 4L organic soil pots. It's my understanding that CMH works well at 30-60cm over the canopy. But what advice would you fellas offer for seedlings? Plants have their cotyledon leaves and first set of proper leaves starting. They are a little tall and floppy, maybe from too long in the dark before potting them. The light was at the top and 50% dimmed, because I didn't wanna fry…

I found urea, with a nitrogen content of 46 Sulphate of potash with potassium of 41.5 Super phosphate with phosphate of 9.1 All from Richgrow. I'm thinking might be a bit strong.. ?? (I have piwerfeed red which is fantastic on veggies)

As some of you might know I'm a coco perlite grower. I'll be buying a bag of vermiculite this weekend and have perlite already (just standard coarse size not chunky). I'm not keen on watering all the time so would like advice as to how much vermiculite to mix with my perlite to get roughly the same water retention as straight coco. I've heard 70/30 perlite/vermiculite as common. Can I add more vermiculite? Is there such a thing as too much vermiculite in my mix? Cheers team. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

thinking about making a hempy bucket, watched a few small vids on the system , but not sure what is a good mix to use , ie, 50-50 coco perlite , 100% perlite & so on …...whats your preferred medium to use & why ……..do your yields stay about the same , & what is a good nute to run , ie soil , coco or aqua nute line , the vids I saw said it didn't matter, ive heaps of canna coco A+B , is that ok...……& bucket size , 5-15 gallon , is the suggested size , whats your preferred size bucket & why Nutter

Hey crew Another question - can keeping a growing plant in a small pot cause it to die ? I’ve googled this and saw mixed opinions that they either grow slower or stop growing . I’ve got a 8 plants vegging under a 315cmh in small pots (probably 1 litre each or slightly less) in this lot I have a power Africa, gelato , cream cheese and 3 supreme cbd Durban’s (nirvana strain) from Seedsman..
