Morning good people. I have a question regards my grow, first timer. They are into the fifth week of flowering and the smell is divine, BUT, they smell totally different, and growing different? Both Black Domina, but one smells like a fresh lemon tree and the other like you stuck your head into a bag of wet pine chips. Is it normal for the same strain to smell so differently from plant to plant? PS. They are growing differently too. When is tall and thin and a bit scraggly, the other is short stumpy and bushy. I'd wonder if the seats were mixed up but they came in the same bag.

Good morning all. Hoping I can get some advice. I currently have two Black Domina, in week three of flower. I recently changed the lighting from two LEDs, to Mars Hydro, TWS 2000. They have been under that light for nearly a week and seem to be doing well until this morning when I noticed the leaves were pointing straight up! The light is at the recommended distance of 12-18inch. I'm not sure if the pointing up for more light, or too much light? Any help would be great, thanks in advance. Soil...equal parts of coco coir, perlite, compost. Fertiliser....Super Grow guano.

Have noticed over the grow, how 2 strains are thriving under 18/6 light schedule and other 2 not so much. Most growers out there will recommend 20/4 or an 18/6 light schedule start to finish for autoflowerplants My 2 northern lights are about to shoot well over the expected life cycle from the breeder I think this is due to the genetics carrying over more photo period traits then not, have also noticed now that there in flower they are shutting down and going to sleep 3-4 hours minimum before lights off, this tells me they would thrive more from a shorter light period ( can’t be done until the 2 chimp glue are out of tent) I did shut off lights a bit earlier one day …

I have come across this thing from around the web and thought it looked interesting. It supposedly will use AI to tell you the THC % and can be used for diagnosis of plant ills, pests and harvest times etc. There are lots of for and against people but thought I would throw it in here for interest sake. Here is their site........... https://www.gethigrade.com/index.php and F book......... https://www.facebook.com/GetHiGrade/ PS. This is just for interest sake, but to myself it looks sort of playfully interesting.

Coco, perlite, geolite. It's a fantastic, trouble free media. Best of all, you can use it over and over again if you clean it right. After harvest, let the root ball/pot dry out for a few weeks. Then you can clean the media ready for the next crop. Here's the rooted media hehe. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/grizzydog/judynstuff004.jpg You need some 5mm wire mesh and a catcher! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/grizzydog/judynstuff005.jpg Chuck on a good few handfuls of the rooted media and rub it around, the coco/perlite will go thru the mesh leaving the roots and geolite. Pluck the roots out (they gather into balls as you rub the media makin…

I've set aside separate strains of male plants( about 80kms away from my outdoor females...). I'd like to collect and store male pollen from the boys, to apply to limbs of a few select girls after the ladies start flowering in Feb. What's the best way to collect AND store the male pollen ?? I'd like to kill the males once I've collected pollen, as they are not in overly discreet location - so I need to store pollen for a few months. Thanks Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Just starting week three of flower and wondering if it's OK, to foliar spray still? I often spray the leaves when I water but this is my first grow so unsure. Thanks.

hi my last 2 grows have been ended short due to root rot. I'm running a rdwc setup with a chiller., last time I put 4lt of household bleach in 160lts of water ran for 3hrs soaked for 2hrs before flushing with fresh melbourne tap water., and introduced the chiller to the system. The res temp sits under 20deg. when running. The last run It didn't happen until 4weeks into flower. I monitored the roots regularly as i was a bit weary. new system different lights to normal. ( heaps of circulation, heaps of bubblers )They were white and healthy up to a week ago. I use the professors grow roots as recommended . I was considering also using oxyplus in the future. Could the rot be …

Hi Guys, I've been looking for a way to do low stress tie down training in Rockwool Hugo cubes. The problem is there is no convenient "structure" to tie down to on the cubes, unlike growing in a pot where you can tie to the pot directly. Anyway, I recently got a 3D printer so I've made a first attempt at designing something to meet my needs: The basic idea is that the plastic parts and aluminium tube form a structure around the cube, with tie down points on the top plastic part. This way, I can tie down the plant to the cube and still be able to move it around to make training and defol trimming easier. Also, I usually like to transplant my seedlings into 1…

Hey crew apologies if it’s in the wrong section- it said “didn’t have permission” to post in the gardening technology section so threw it here , please move Mods if you can What timers do people use for their feeding pumps ? I’m after a seconds timer as I have an electrical sub board with programmable switches but minimum is a minute and the Bunnings timers are usually increments of 15min on the analogue ones Cheers! Im buying 50 liter bags of soil and 5 gallon bags. Yep, tried google. searched "how many litres of soil for a 5 gallon pot" (for autos) and its surprisingly not easy to find the answer. Its mostly in gallons, cubic feet etc. Does anyone know how much soil in litres a 5 gallon bag holds. ? While Im here- would 5 gallon bags be overkill for autos? Would 3 gallon bags be better, and is mushroom compost (have some hanging around) be ok for them. (outdoors, spring/summer). Thanks.

Hey all and thanks for having me over. I know a bloke who wants to grow autos and says that because they're so easy to grow he's just gonna germinate in wet cotton wool, plant them in 5 gallon fabric pots, throw them under some decent LEDs in his garage without the walls. Just under lights with no foil for reflection, and rely on room temp, decent soil, good food and a couple of fans, for the short time they need. His shed gets to around 15 degrees at night and 25-30 without much humidity. I know theyd be better outside this time of year but thats not really an option. Neither is a tent an option. Do you think theyd go OK?.
