Hey crew apologies if it’s in the wrong section- it said “didn’t have permission” to post in the gardening technology section so threw it here , please move Mods if you can What timers do people use for their feeding pumps ? I’m after a seconds timer as I have an electrical sub board with programmable switches but minimum is a minute and the Bunnings timers are usually increments of 15min on the analogue ones Cheers! Im buying 50 liter bags of soil and 5 gallon bags. Yep, tried google. searched "how many litres of soil for a 5 gallon pot" (for autos) and its surprisingly not easy to find the answer. Its mostly in gallons, cubic feet etc. Does anyone know how much soil in litres a 5 gallon bag holds. ? While Im here- would 5 gallon bags be overkill for autos? Would 3 gallon bags be better, and is mushroom compost (have some hanging around) be ok for them. (outdoors, spring/summer). Thanks.

Hey all and thanks for having me over. I know a bloke who wants to grow autos and says that because they're so easy to grow he's just gonna germinate in wet cotton wool, plant them in 5 gallon fabric pots, throw them under some decent LEDs in his garage without the walls. Just under lights with no foil for reflection, and rely on room temp, decent soil, good food and a couple of fans, for the short time they need. His shed gets to around 15 degrees at night and 25-30 without much humidity. I know theyd be better outside this time of year but thats not really an option. Neither is a tent an option. Do you think theyd go OK?.

So H&G say ro water doesn’t “harmonise” nutrients ? What’s that all about ?

Question...... how important is keeping humidity down in flower? The last few days she’s been up around 60-65%........ lights on after a feed it’s around 56%. Good days she’s around 50%..... struggling to keep it down there even with a dehumidifier and good air flow...... but have 2 good fans moving air nicely, and good ventilation, this should keep any rot and crap away..... %%% is mainly up during lights off so not to worried about them feeding through leaves more then roots Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Hi, I have a small grow, about five plants into week 7, (three weeks into flower) critical mass and gold leaf. Normally the lights are on 12-12 and as I needed to go out by 12, I figured it would be cool to speak in and wake the girls up at 1130 so they get a bit of an early start. Naturally I would set the timer to 1130 and make that the new routine. Just as naturally, I forgot, in fact I left it on timer bypass, until I was driving home from a friends place that I remembered, so the light has been on for24 hours and is just about to enter the normal cycle on period. So, whats the consensus, do I a/ turn them off so they get a little darkness before resuming normal rou…

My coco H&G is running out and I'm wanting to get into a perlite and or perlite verm grow. I would like to do combo of run to waste, hempy buckets, and have a go at recirc. Which is more suitable for me? Hydro or Aqua flakes? Aqua flakes they recommend for recirc as it keeps ph etc more stable. I don't imagine I'll get into a proper dwc setup so is aqua flakes more suitable for with my grow types? I'm leaning towards that but would like some opinions. Hi all, I currently have 2 seeds ww in a low mix of nutes and added hydrogen peroxide. The issue I'm having is the seeds float to the top then drop back to the bottom. Never seen it in my life. Anyone ever seen this. Are the seeds viable or should I put in more. They have been in the freezer for a few months does this have any bearing on what's happening. hi Im running 1 plant for a 4*4' screen using rdwc in order to minimize my plant nos. The only trouble most of the recommended strains for scrog are indica dominant. Making the vegging time extremely long in order to fill the screens. hydrohybrid on you tube grows this way and his plants appear to be more sativia dominant. og kush I believe is one of his favorites. Considering the laws here in oz in regards to plant numbers others must grow the same way. The strains I have looked at for high yields and high growth rates are critical mass, critical+2. has anyone tried them and do they suit this type of grow? are there any other high yielding top smokes out there that othe…

Hey Guys, I'm currently in the process of designing a perpetual grow using NoTill soil in fabric pots. There will be 2 seperate "mini rooms" (Veg & Flower) and a gravity fed watering system using Blumat maxis. With a nosey teenager living at home, the setup has to be stealthy and as invisible as possible. I'm using an online 3D design program to work out the logistics. You can view it here https://www.tinkercad.com/things/a8Iv23PvB5M-moo/edit?sharecode=21MHgiM1PbLWduV_1WGhaiGq3uvlcWaDu4FSEiJu-oM= I'd love to hear some feedback.

Hey Guys, first grow in many years. Have chosen the full organic method for all the obvious reasons Built the soil using a NoTill Compost Mix (available online) & the remaining components from Bunnings .Followed instructions to the letter. 7 weeks in, I'm getting discolouration / damage of the sun leaves, see photos.

Hi crew Sooooo to be fair I’ve had some decent runs with coco and it was the first and only medium I’ve used . Had tonnes of fun battling gnats and I know I should have done more (gnat smack, pot socks , more yellow pads etc etc ) . But after a lot of research and lots of questions on here especially to Sedge, cooper , sooty , Merlin to name only a few I’ve thought I’ll give VP a try ! Dwc - had a good first run, but I simply don’t have the time to maintain it . My online fan in the tent stopped working and the water crept up too 29 degrees and caused root rot - lost 3 tie dyes that were 3 weeks into veg . Also had similar problem with my Africa strain - ph dropped , Aq…
