General Cultivation Q&A

I've been taking clones and inserting into rockwool, grwoing them under a flouresent light for two weeks and then putting under metal halide for two weeks of growth. Its a turbo tank sorta design with two 6inch air stones down each side and a pump with 4 little sprayers spraying down the middle and plastic mesh pots holding the rockwool and a few clay rocks around it. Is it possible to just skip the fluorescent bit and put my clones in rockwool straight into the plastic mesh pots and grow them under metal halide from scratch? Cheers ya'll any input is good input.

are these strains for real? do they yield? are they potent?

ok a few plants outdoors are very quickly showing signs of a mg deficiency.. just wondering what ratio of epsom salts to how many litres of water ? usually i just do 1 teaspoon per 9L watering can. What ratio should i use for foiler feeding aswell ? one of the plants is VERY quickly getting worse. Never seen a plant show signs of a magnesium sulfate deficiency so quickly. i have given them a small foiler feed with epsom salts. thanks

I've found I can never find anything I'm looking for via the search function on most forums without having to wade through 20 pages of posts only to find one highlighted search term amongst each post. Hi, I am new to forums and new to growing so posted this in a few spots..hope I haven't pissed anyone off.. I live in small hot town far north WA and grew first plant..it died after giving me some OK heads...why I dont know..anyway I want to try again but need seeds...where do I get seeds in Australia and is it legal? Hey all, one of my plants that i topped with three stems i'm training to run horizontal, at present it's in a small pot (see my other thread for info and pics) i can see some of the roots almost poking out of the drainage holes however the plant is only 10-15 cm tall and new growth is about 5-10cm outwards. I want to keep this plant healthy but i also want to keep it compact including the pot size for the moment so i can at least get another 5-10cm or more sideways growth. My Q is should i just repot it and stop fussing? or can the plant veg out a fair bit for the size of pot? Astro.

Well i am looking at revegging my LUI, and pollenating it for a seed run. A few questions...does revegging effect the strength of the smoko ?? furthermore would it adversly alter the strength of the seeds produced? because it was a beautiful plant grew perfectly and i would like to keep it going yet i didnt clone i am working on getting some pollen to pollenate with and just wondered if anyone had experimented with revegging for a seed run. Hey just another quickie, one of my young plants has 2 stems growing on each side of one intersetion, it's on the second node pair from the bottom and there's about 6-8 nodes on the plant so far. What can i do to make these little stems grow up nice and big, I already topped the plant's youngest growth and will wait for the new shoots before i do anything else, here's a couple pics this is the plant on the left, if you look right in the middle you see 2 shoots, both sides have them but only on this intersection

Hey Just today I was looking for something to use as a dropper to measure out 1-2 mills of seasol mixture, and I accidently came accross one of those little Soy Sauce Fish droppers for your sushi lying around in the kitchen, it's absolutely perfect! it fills up to about 2ml and you accurately measure out your nutes and stuff! approx 20 drops is about 1ml, takes the hassle out of measuring

Hey All, How are we this Sunny Saturday Morning??? I got an idea last night for a pantry setup with the shelves all removed. I figured a halogen lighting system (Star light 220W Full Unit) affixsed to the top, a single pot and seed in the bottom, black plastic to jam into the doorframe, Should work right??? Look honestly, I have no idea how to grow (My Dad did, I don't) but I am an afficienado of medicinal pot and seriously need to start my own supply. Please help Peoples, I just want a single plant setup thats very discreet. I trust your judgements
