Google has released a campaign called 10 to the Power of 100. It entails them trying to make a big difference for the world. I personally think this is amazing. My vote for this campaign was for "Make government more transparent". The reason being that it will create a website letting citizens of all countries learn about there governments workings and find out what there really doing for the economy with our tax payer dollars. It will also let you voice you opinion on what you think should be happening in your country. So if this website wins the campaign we can all voice our opinions on whether or not pot should be legal. If there is enough backing i am hoping that enou…

Being 21 days since we lodged proceedings in the High Court M28 of 2009 Melbourne Registry we expected that we would receive the opp submissions today in the mail, we did not. We have however just been notified that the Vic OPP has sought and received an extension of time to lodge their summary of response argument in the High Court to our application. The letter we got from the high court says High court time extensions under Rule 26 of the high court rules are only granted in "Exceptional Circumstances" So what was the "exceptional circumstances"? the fact that the OPP has suddenly realised it does not have a leg to stand on? Summary of responses from the Attorneys…

By HEATHER RIVERS, SUN MEDIA Sat, September 26, 2009 http://lfpress.ca/newsstand/News/Local/200...128741-sun.html Copyright © 2008, Canoe Inc WOODSTOCK -- It may look and smell just like marijuana, but there's a good chance it's not. Police say several hemp plants stolen from a Stratford-area research plot have been recovered in Woodstock. Gordon Scheifele, a plant breeder and retired University of Guelph researcher, said thieves this week raided his legal 0.8 hectare (two-acre) plot licensed by Health Canada. Although it was labelled hemp, Scheifele, a former president of the Ontario Hemp Alliance, said thieves still stole about half a garbage bag of hemp …

Police say the 35-year-old was caught Thursday in the middle of a six-lane highway linking Athens with Thessaloniki, harvesting 42 marijuana plants up to 5.9 feet (1.8 meters) tall. A small quantity of dried pot was found in his home, as well. Police said the marijuana had been planted in a 1-meter-wide wide median …

The buses will be used to conduct 30,000 random urine tests across the state each year, randomly turning up at workplaces, parolees' homes or parole offices to make sure offenders are meeting the conditions of their release. Each bus will be staffed by a team of 10 Corrective Services officers, who will test up to 40 high-risk offenders each day for drug or alcohol use. The initiative will boost testing capacity tenfold, with just 3000 tests undertaken last year…

REBEKAH CAVANAGH August 14th, 2009 http://www.ntnews.com.au/article/2009/08/1...261_ntnews.html POLICE say drug dealers are continuing to exploit residents in remote Territory communities by charging them up to $100 for a bag of cannabis no bigger than the size of a 10 cent coin. Superintendent Helen Braam said it is just another example of the ongoing exploitation of remote Territorians. "The alternative for a remote community family is spending $100 on letting their kids go to the show, buying them a new bike for their birthday or sending them on a school excursion - something most urban kids take for granted, and whose parents are not being extorted becau…

http://www.altmedia.net.au/the-global-tide...-on-drugs/10869 Author: Michael Gormly Posted: Thursday, 3 September 2009 OPINION Except for the occasional glimmer of light, consumers of Australian media can be forgiven for thinking the dark age of drug prohibition is not only justified but securely incumbent. While our media, most politicians and even some health experts continue to regurgitate an evolving panoply of drug myths usually traceable to ultra-conservative US elements, truth will out and the international tide is on the turn against prohibition. One of these myths is the one about cannabis and psychosis. New strains of ‘skunk’ are X times strong…

http://copssaylegalize.blogspot.com/2009/0...ew-zealand.html Here is a blog well worth reading... "LEAP is touring Australia from October 2nd to the 27th. We don't have any speakers in Australia right now, but after the tour that should change. In the meantime, LEAP supporters can look to Alex Wodak as a leading drug policy reformer who lives in Australia but is known worldwide for his efforts to end prohibition. In addition to being a medical doctor he is the Director of the Alcohol and Drug Service at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, as well as a board member of the International Harm Reduction Assocation." read the blog for the rest of the info... it is wel…

As expected, my aerogarden doesn't seem to be fantastic with yield. Don't particularly care about that, It's enough for a homegrown smoke. Anyway, I was looking at a lot of guides to find out what I should look for with harvesting, and I get a lot of conflicting websites. Some talk about red hairs (50 or 90% turned), others about amber trichomes (shame I don't have a magnifying glass) and one random site is telling me the milky white hairs are an indication of maturity. To hell with them, you guys are never wrong. I'd like to sample my bud, so if you can let me know which one would be best to go then let me know. Otherwise, how far along do you think I am with flowering…

Jack Herer Suffers Heart Attack Sunday, 13 September 2009 10:57 The much beloved "Emperor of Hemp" Jack Herer collapsed backstage yesterday at Hempstalk 2009 in Portland after giving a speech. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent heart surgery. Herer, the author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes, suffered a stroke and heart attack in 2000 at another Oregon event. He has recovered over the years, though the 70-year-old activist speaks with a stutter and walks with a limp. Just minutes before his speech, Herer looked fit and said, "I'm getting better and better and better. I'm healthier than I've been..." Herer's currently at Emanuel Trauma Center in Port…

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
