When should outdoor start flowering?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys. Long time since I've visited....Hope you all had a safe xmas a great new year!!

Hey, I've got a couple of Northern Light which I sprouted in late October 2018 and I'm curious as to when people think they may want to start flowering. They are smaller than I like because mainly we had little Spring in SA and more like two winters...

According to time and date dot com, the daylight hours won't be shorter than night time til March 25.

If it helps, they are in 30L pots, tomato, veg and herb mix with 25 to 30% perlite added and feeding PowerFeed, Rock Root Tonic and using Seasol foliage spray. Water pH 5.5 and they both seem healthy other than not being as large as I'd like.

I've got no white hairs really anywhere yet. They look like they are still growing branches and I'm wondering if I should tie them down anymore. Here's three pics. Hope they help.

All your advice is appreciated as always!

Thanks Y'all!!

I live in SA and mine have started white hairs already. I haven't tied them down though & they are in the ground. It will also depend on the strain. I would agree with billygoat, get them into bigger pots.

Is that South Aust? Im there 2. What size pots do you think? Mine are in 20lt but have wondered whether theyre big enough.

This heat is a bugger atm

I was considering that because they seem thirsty more often but I don't like the idea of shocking them by trying to get them out of 30s and into 50s...plus if I only have maybe to the end of January, is it worth it?

Just checked mine again and they are only just getting white hairs on the main stem...
