Question about colas and trichome colour

So, in simplified terms, this is my main crown:

If I was to cut it at the red line, it would give me the upper part with my desired milky trics, leaving the rest mainly clear. Would that allow the bottom part to then go cloudy? Or would it send my plant into a downward spiral?

Need to know for next year's effort ;-)

I haven't stopped with nutes yet, but the leaves are really taking on the 'end of life characteristic yellowing' now, so I guess I could start flushing now...

Is there any truth to the rumour that clear trics can still go milky once the buds have been cut? I read it somewhere but I'm tending to think it's BS....

Yeah. Don’t mangle your main cola. I save it until last so it gets the longest cure.
