Changed setup for work .all I wanted is for ok plants to come home to .

 

Havnt even started yet .supposed to be end of this month .First it was last month.

 

Thinking of changing to gravity fed on timers.

get a tub a pump and a timer, 15 mins on every 2-4 hours, lift ya pots run a return hose

Just like to say what a lovely after work tonic this thread was to read.

 

Love when ya catch the start of a thread and then when I get back to it, there a heap of new pages.

 

Admittedly, not all are as entertaining as this one but thanks to everyone for turning my frown upside down!!

 

I used Coco last year, fuck knows how much weight wise, straight Coco, not a single pest issue.

Fucking fungus knats are busting my balls in soil this year.

worm castings or compost , in general straight off the bat , almost all compost is high in , K potassium & a way to re-inoculate a pot with beneficial's

you can also research info on how castings work as a pesticide against soil born pests & disease 

  

potassium silicate $22 per liter bottle , mostly part of your IPM , soil drench , emulsifier for oils like neem in a foliar spray , will help with damping off of clones 

 

coconut water 15ml per liter fortnightly $3 330mil woolies , root & shoot boost 

 

aloe vera           "       "     "          "   induces a plants SAR = helps make the plant healthier 

     

fulvic acid $23 per liter bottle , 2.5mil per liter with aloe & silica , fulvic is a highly efficient chelating agent   

 

multed barley seed , $6kg , powdered in a coffee grinder , top dress fortnightly , water in with aloe fulvic & silica , a bunch of start of life enzymes 

 

EM-1  $23 per liter bottle , 7.5mil per liter soil drench fortnightly & foliar weekly at 1/4 strength , 21 , i think , soil microorganisms , shelf life 6-12mths , you can also re activate / extend 

EM-1 & turn 1lt to over 20 liters however there is a decrease in shelf life to 60 days for what you make , 1 part em to 1 part molasses to 20 parts water , fermented until

ph is around 3.5 , from memory it's something like that to extend 1lt to 20

if you could only buy one of those things , take the castings or compost

if you were to make your own then just buy EM-1 

& feed the pot via top dressing diff kinds of mulch using a big pot ( above 50-60 liters ) or in ground  

 

you could also freak him out by making your own fertilizer with seeds , corn , barley , alfalfa

it's called Seed Sprout tea making   

 

all or some of that should help to get you on the road to watching the house get cleaned for a month
