0 pedro de pacas
Look what happens when you get rid of coal, forget the stupid battery that's only a cunning stunt, and wont solve blackout problems for many or for very longWhat about these green and clean generators, good old SA, , only use 80,000 liters an hourhttp://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/diesel-generators-at-elizabeth-and-lonsdale-are-ready-to-provide-276mw-of-extra-power-to-south-australia-this-summer/news-story/b20bfc0eeb1ddf8a66d16e6c9218d3fb?nk=8e3d38eea2f7a7a7f81c6c4f64e11082-1515359248
0 merl1n
SA is reliant on the other states for power thanks to the national grid. When the interstate connector went down there was no backup and SA was blacked out, not just a suburb but the whole bloody state These generators and battery are not to take over SA's power supply, they are simply a backup for essential services. That has SFA to do with coal, that has SFA to do with solar/wind. It has more to do with the nation energy market, no matter the source. The idea that a whole entire state can be blacked out because of an infrastructure failure is a joke, Christ, if Victoria cut power to NSW there would be an almighty outcry from NSW. But SA bitches about it and looks for alternatives and everybody has an opinion. They ALL have an opinion, but has any other state acted??? NO. The battery has NOTHING to do with self sufficiency. It's a back up and the same with the "...generators, good old SA, , only use 80,000 liters an hour...". If NSW or Victoria decided to back up their supply how many '...liters an hour...' would that take. I can guarantee it be more than 80,000, even if it was only for essential services. Talking coal vs renewables then involving the generators is like comparing apples with onions. They are two totally differing issues.
0 pedro de pacas
I agree the energy market in Australia is stuffed, shit China is building over 900 coal fired power stations, India building 350 or sowonder were all that thermal coal is coming from, Mean while we have absolutely NO Bearing on global warming or climate change or whatever its called this weekif the governments state and federal had any balls, the would tell the UN and the loony left were to shove there man made global warming bullshit and build a few more COAL fired power stations, or at least some bloody gas ones If not we better start sending refugees from our about to be 3rd world shit-hole, to somewhere that can keep the lights on Or we could go NUCLEAR, that would get the watermelons jumping up and down I always thought it went, ice age, warm bit in the middle, ice age, warm bit in the middle, ice age warm bit(2018 enjoying the weather)in the middle
0 merl1n
Australia maybe the biggest exporter of coal in the world but we are not the biggest producer of coal, in fact we are fourth. China, the U.S., and India out rank us by way of production figures with Indonesia and Russia running closely behind. It's more the case that they use most of their production domestically rather than export, where we export around 70% of the coal we produce. "...about to be 3rd world shit hole..." WTF. 3rd world???? You have got to be joking, Right? If you think for one second we are anything close to third world you are sadly mistaken. Why do you think the refugees are trying to get here? so they can live in a 3rd world country, like the one they have left? Even if we let the refugees enter we would still be FAR from 3rd world. Australia is the second wealthiest nation in terms of wealth per adult, after Switzerland. Maybe a visit to a third world country to actually see what third world means would be an idea. Even the idea of '...about to be...'(a third world country) is ridiculous in the extreme. Most people in Australia have NO IDEA what these people, the refugees, are trying to escape from but we seem very quick to be passing judgement. What's the old saying "...Go walk a mile in their shoes..." that's if the poor bastards even have a pair of shoes. I do agree with the earth's cycles ie ice age, warm bit in the middle, ice age, warm bit in the middle, ice age..." But that "warm bit in the middle" bit is getting warmer and warmer. From the ice cores they have taken from the ice caps shows that sure we warm a bit but never to the extremes we're having now. Those cores show thousands of years of heating/cooling and not just the man made records from the last 500yrs or so. Trump's America is having one of the worst cold spells in modern history and he's spouting on about wanting global warming and that just goes to show how insulated from the rest of the world he is, but then there is only one country in the world in his opinion. There's America and then there's everybody else. We only have one planet and every action has an equal and opposite reaction, so the idea that what we do doesn't impact everybody else is ignorant. 0 micmac
I always thought that global warming was the cause of the colder weather as well, so if trump wants global warming his winters will get worse n worseAs merlin said warm hot cold is a cycle that has taken place for the earths entire existence, it's the fact that we are seriously speeding this process up is the major concernI'm sure they have clean power of some description but what would happen then, the whole capitalist system would slowly crash, our civilisation is so heavily reliant on oil and coal and there by productsImagine what would happen to our belief structure alone is they came out n said , aliens they're real , religion would fall apart or would they come n say yeah Christ or whoever was a alien , we just didn't tell u Sent from my iPhone using OZ Stoners
0 pedro de pacas
I'm pretty sure GOD is an alien, so that would make Jesus half human half alien, unless Mary was rooting the goat herder, then he would be a big nose like the rest
