Brownie's 7 holes and a tub

Recommended Posts

The bath seems to be working well .is the moisture wicking all the way to the top ?

I've never really checked, just assuming it does cause when I first initially set up made sure sand and mulch was well wet then added mix and gave it a good water in and just pour in organic teas with watering can, but when away for bouts 8 days check them and leafs all reaching for the sky but when topping up it takes probably 4 litres till starts to overflow

I don't try keeping soil wet thru top just wasn't real sure as how to add tea's to soil, pour down filler, way to diluted in bottom so just a small water from top enough to feed roots. With the rain we've had quit a bit in the previous 3 days and no probs at all (must be a very good mix for drainage and wicking) plants just loving it. The WWxBB are still getting taller, tallest 1 is now 5'6" , I got some rope and slightly moved plants towards corners and criss crossed some more rope lifting up lower branches giving them more light in the middle try and get bit of a canopy happening and they also got another drink of insect frass. Some pics first 3 WWxBB, amhurst sour diesel and some closeups, last 2 early skunk just starting to flower.

Cheers all

Happy growing

looking nice Mr B

don't forget foliar sprays of teas & many other things

what you spray go's allot further then soil drenching

not that soil drenching is bad , it's just in general you only use

around 1/4 strength & can spray / cover allot of ground with a little

possibly , i'm guessing of cause , the top X amount of soil in the sip has become you mulch layer

do you find roots in the top inch or so of soil , with the earthbox i use they have a shower cap

a plastic cover that stops evaporation & forms condensation on the underside of the plastic

keeping the top soil moist as the wicking keeps the rest moist
