Good thinking psychohashy I think the co - operative idea is a good direction.

Can we start to mirror what's happening in Canada ?

We need to come together in one United group as this is the only way to defeat the corporate psychopathy!

People power is the answer.

We need more protests, the biggest ever seen in the country , we need better organisation and cooperation between different groups.

I feel the cause has lost a little momentum since the last election!

Most of all we need participation from every single able bodied supporter.

Maybe one huge country wide demonstration would be better than al lot of small ones . Ideas?

 

Yeah I get what you're saying. I don't know about anyone else but the community in the political sense feels fragmented and all over the place... There isn't really one community to all get behind and show support in a combined effort. It would be cool to have that and in some sense the Free Cannabis Community is doing that but also arguable they're not. Do we want to push it at the federal level where change of legislation is less likely than at the state level? These are all questions that need to be addressed and with that will come some answers as how it's best to attack the situation.

 

My best guesstimate at how the cannabis situation can unfold in the sense of recreational use is that it's going to have to happen at a state level for a few reasons. One being states can legislate their own drug scheduling. Two being getting a state through would give an example for other states to follow.

 

But with that there needs to be a visible front. Maybe open clubs up (Although as Ozzy420 said that will open one up to being taken down in a variety of ways, so the person who does needs to be clean as a whistle can be in this movement).

If what read was right the laws in qld wont allow people to grow in Australia but instead once u have jumped through all there bullshut hoops with ur doctor and finaly get the ok it will only mean ur doctor can import medical cannabis???

Pretty well much my take on it too, Evo. Only difference I guess it won't be imported once it's finally produced by Pharmaceutical company.

 

We wont get a look in for quite a few years, imo. I doubt we'll see the laws slackened in my time.

They wouldn't be as open about it hurting their bottom dollar they'd push some fallacy like road toll increasing due to drugs or some lie about crime. Only have to look at the laws in Victoria that could land you jail time for posting how to grow cannabis if they so wished to pursue you for that. It's happening now.

In that respect I can see that happening hopefully we won't end up there and by the time they have the courage to do that recreational door hopefully is open or opening. Just a bit more info though on what is happening law/punishment wise in Victoria.

I'll have a look around and find the legislation but, to my knowledge it was passed earlier this year under the guise of cracking down on ice. Which is another reason we must not fall into the moral panic of drugs because it allows the government to do shit like this.
