QLDPOTHEAD
This is my first grow. I live inland central QLD and got impatient when I got my seeds, So I decided to plant 2 White widow autos in big pots with quality soil and potty mix. They were planted 26 march and have done really well. I don't do a lot with them, Just water every 3 days and I have them on a trolley so I can move them around for sunlight as they are in a very restricted area as I have very close neighbours. They get between 6 and 7 hours a day of sunlight. We have already been down to 2.3c and I was worried about them, So I built a frame and put bubble wrap around and put a small heater in there at night with the plants. They are coping as the temp only gets down to around 6c even when its freezing outside. They are flowering well and I except it will be a smaller yield as I put them in coming into winter. I think they have about 2 weeks to go. Happy for any advice....
Sir PsychoHashy
They're doing quite well for outdoor autos, especially considering the time of year. Should be ready in another 2-3 weeks by the look of them, they tend to take longer to mature in less than ideal conditions. You must have a green thumb as most new growers struggle badly with auto's, would be good to see what you could do with photoperiod plants and a full outdoor season. Do you know the breeder of the seeds?
billygoat
Doing really well ! Can you add some light when you bring them indoors at night ? Though considering how well they are doing, probably best doing nothing different !
QLDPOTHEAD
I got the seeds from ilovegrowingmarijuana.com. I have been lucky as our winter has been a bit mild and hit and miss with cold weather. we have had a couple of very cool mornings, But most have been pretty good. My mum is a green thumb when it comes to gardening and always taught me less is best. I just used 50/50 good quality potty mix and mulched soil from under my trees. I water them every 3 days. Its been a lot of fun for a first time and I look forward to what I can grow in spring to summer. If my neighbours weren't so close, I would have a go at photo period plants. QLDPOTHEAD
Not possible to add light as they are housed in my steel compound at the back of the yard and it would be to hard to hide the light from my neighbours. I am going to look at doing something with a hothouse I bought a few years ago. Its always hard hiding them from prying eyes. But thinking I might be able to line the hothouse with the penguin plastic and then I could give them some light at night. I am happy I can grow during winter as I should get to lots in every year....
QLDPOTHEAD
It is now 10 weeks, And still going well. So happy with their progress. Coming into winter, I'm not sure how long they have to go. They seem to be bulking up the heads now and the big fan leaves are showing signs of dying. Maybe a couple of weeks to go... QLDPOTHEAD
It took about 3 weeks to get them. Came in a plain envelope with the seeds in between a light bit of cardboard.... They have a great replacement process if you don't get them or they don't grow. Good luck....
QLDPOTHEAD
I bought mine for vegies but life got in the way and only used it for one season. I found it got very warm inside. I was thinking it would be great for a winter crop. I will see how it goes next winter....
