Help, I think my plant have nitrogen toxicity

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the replies Cannabis Connoisseur and RickShawRyder. Here are some more pics. I might leave them another day or two without watering and then re-pot them, if necessary. When I took the pics it had just finished raining so they are more damp than usual. After all your comments I think the soil is far too hot and flushing doesnt seem to have done anything.

Cheers

Probably wouldn't use a finger as a moisture meter. You may inadvertently damage roots, or introduce unwanted pathogens into the soil, both no Bueno for a healthy plant. Bunnings sell moisture meters in the gardening dept, relatively cheap and alot less intrusive to the root zone. Toxicity can be cured with pH balanced water and flushing. I assume you are doing this before watering?

Thanks for the heads up, Ill definitely get a moisture meter. Yeah I have been checking it before watering.

I would wash all the soil I could off the roots and repot into something more appropriate. I have never had issues with Searles Premium potting mix (don't add anything to it) and watering with nutrients when required. I also have often grown in half Searles premium and half horse or cow shit.

Thanks for the advice? is cow/horse shit not too strong for younger plants? Mine are about 5 weeks old.
