i do just want to point out that the 15zips has a lot more to do with the scrog technique than the actual light, i would suggest if your using HPS now these lamps arent going to increase your yield, i dont want to give the impression that if you switch over to these lamps your going to get massive yields, my yields are pretty much the same as i would have expected doing the same size scrog under a 600w HPS or my dual 400W CMH or even a 1000w HPS in the same space for that matter (i say that because when i was running my 1000w in that space i didnt see any gains over a 600w because it is simply too much light for the space and to make the most of the 1000w i would probably need to switch up to co2)

 

i think a lot of people put too much emphasis on wattage or light for yields, i know i fell into that trap when i got my 1000w kind of thought i would start pulling bigger numbers bigger colas etc, it just didnt happen that way. deep down i knew better but i still fell for it anyway. training whether it be scrog or LST or whatever is where the biggest gains are found.

My idea is running two of these lights in a much wider area than I would be able to cover with my sole 600w, as you've mentioned there footprint is so large. Allowing me to grow heaps more plants under 600w of lights with 2 x 315w

Great diary FIWH, thanks for posting.  Start to finish under a different light source with pics and final results, leaving us all well informed.  Pity nobody does this with LED's instead of making claims and causing arguments.  Good stuff, enjoy the results.

if someone wants to give me an LED panel i will happily run it. the trick with LED's seems to be they arent all created equal, there is so many variables, i know of a few growers who know there LED tech and honestly they buy the right panels for the job and get great results but it seems if you dont know what your looking at its incredibly easy to buy something which is no more than a glorified veg light

At last I got one and it's arrived today forgetiwashere once again amazing thread and great results - dude how do you attach the brackets? I can't find a guide for bracket attachment anywhere. If you could post a pic showing how your light is hanging then that would be a massive help..

 

Led lights are okay. The problem is bleaching and the cost of constant buying cal n mag feeds.

Take the front panel off and slide the bolts up. Okay I have worked it out
