KNO3 spray to induce flowering?

Recommended Posts

Do you have a girl that goes without? It would be great to see by how much or how little the thing is working.

Unless you know the variety well??

Not at this stage iTiC as the Gold is from seed and the strain new to me. If it turns out to be fem I'll take a few cuttings.

Can't see where this is a big deal, most plants once flipped to 12/12 show pre-flowers by the end of week one and buds by the end of week two.

Admittedly I'm about 1-2 weeks late in seeing if the KNO3 solution has a positive effect on flowering, but the method in my madness is to encourage flowering and prepair the hormones prior to the shock of flipping to 12/12. Ive always thought of going from 18 - 12hrs of light the same as us going from 7hrs sleep to 4hrs sleep a night as they say it takes about 2 weeks for us to adjust to New sleeping patterns which is around the same timeframe for buds to start appearing and the stretch to stop.

Just a thought....

Nici, I remember seeing an experiement in a text book. They took a branch on a plant in a flowering light regime (12/12) and spliced that into a plant that was in a non flowering state. The presence of the flowering hormone caused the plant to preflower.

The things they didnt try was

1. put female hormone into a male

2. The didnt (say) they too the 18/6 plant to flowering conclusion being fed a flowering hormone from a same species female flowering plant.

At the very least this could be a good way to jump start a flowering area before the usable area is free.

NB. a light box was used to link the branches of the two separate plants.

if youre interested in quality nugs speeding the onset of the development of flowers isnt always wise. You can always feed them 1/4 strength bloom nutrients foliar fed to speed onset of floral development..... dutch master have a max-fx & another bloom foliar application product that will help boost the development of the floral bracts and also speed up the development of flowers...

cheers'

I agree, it seems at every turn the plant is 'trying' to teach patience. The wise monkey finds ways of breaky the rules to it can have its bananas faster
