I scoop the hot mix into the ricer with a slotted spoon and then use a fork to scrap out the compressed trash out after squeezing. Once most of the trash is out of the water, I pour what is left through a fine sieve to catch any remaining plant material.

Another great use of a ricer is turning left over steamed veggies into baby food... thought I'd mention that seeing as you have a little one.

but here is the batter and cookies!

white choc chip butter cookies.

upfront taste is still a bit canna-ery but the white choc and vanilla essence after taste is quite pleasant.

Hi Lou,

Just wanted to pass along a huge thank you from a few people and myself for this butter method.

So far I have made cakes, muffins and just now cookies.

The muffins I gave a mate two of and he told me a few days later that even tho I had told him just one - he ate them both -

reckons he woke up at 3am and his legs and hands were numb which ensued him laughing for hours and falling all over the place not able to feel anything. Even if true he is a light weight lol

Two other got to try some and all were "Major Tom'd" very well.

Like many things I owe to this site - I would never have thought of it and just thrown away everything i used to make the butter.

Many thanks,

I'm glad it worked out so well for you Razz0r. Just goes to show there isn't really a lot of trash after a cannabis harvest... apart from the woody stems. I haven't found a cooking use for those, although I do use some in the aviaries, the budgies love to strip the branches and shred the branches.

Thanks Lou!

No worries!
