ScrOG screen height ?

Ok so ive been reading about this scrog method and iam keen to have a go at it.

Have read varying data on the height placement of the screen from 200mm to 500mm.

Is there a specific height for the screen ? what height do you use ?

Room size 1m x 1.9 x 1.7high, if that matters in the equation.

200mm is a good height in my opinion, that room would get away with 2 x 400's too

I was thinking 250 or lower this would mean the plant would reach the screen alot quiker than at 500mm.

How many plants you got under the screen/ how big is the screen?

Have'nt made the screen as yet was thinking about makin one to fit the whole area of the cabinet 1m x 1.9m .

 

Was going to put 3 plants in big pots under the screen.

 

Running a recirculating system 70lt resi ,heater and air stones

The pots are suspended in the floor of the cab ,so the tops of the pots sit flush with the base of the cab. The pots drain back to the resi ,which sits lower than the bottom of the pots , allowing me to drain back to the top of the resi . Ive had trouble in the past with pesky leaks with the return that runs to the bottom of the resi .

 

 

Will get some pics up in the next few days so you can get a better idea.

That sounds like one big ass cabinet

 

You prob wouldn't want 2 600's in there though, unless you had a pretty beefy exhaust fan and/or cooltubes. Even then, The amount of light might be overkill for 3 plants

I'll just add just "enough for you to do what you have to to inspect, prune, tie and access every plant" but between 200 & 250 sounds about right

Can never seem to link the pics? but it shows; 2 plants, 1 x 45 litre tray of coco/perlite, 2 x 400 hps, 1 x 2 mtr screen.

Lamps were round the wrong way and just a lil too far apart, 2 x 600 would have really filled things out more

I would go for the 2 x 600w in that area, as long as you have good ventilation

 

and between 200 - 250mm is about right for a SCROG screen
