Update!

Recommended Posts

Thanx TokenJet, I had loads of help figuring it out. The weather is strange, we just had a week of pretty cool temps and now they say the heat is comin back. Late October into November can get frost but not really sustained cold so it's a matter of watching the weather and hoping the rest of the garden continues to give me the cover I need. We're having an extreme drought, so I'm out there in the dark with the hose hoping for the best

It's also going to be interesting to see if the plants react to the lateness of the season and hurry it up. I'll be posting more pix when I can get the kid to get out there with the camera. I've been tempting her with the Canna Porn prizes...

From what I can see they're trying. And they smell great, even with this cold I have.

With perfect conditions those would have been as big as what SS pulls out of his wardrobe! That's probably whats had me so hysterical. But the good news is that they're still out there, they're healthy and they're trying. If nothing else they'll make good pix, and an interesting experiment to see how late in the season I can push a harvest.

The most recent pix of those plants are the entries for the Sept Canna Porn.

I know what you mean. Our spring was a mess. Many of the trees lost all the new leaf from a week long cold snap, and then had to grow new. Then the summer proceeded to be a severe to extreme drought! It's a wonder anything has lived, but nature is amazing. The weather has been so bad that there's only been 1 or 2 hay cuts where there's usually more than 4 in a season! And the corn ...well that had to be harvested a month early it was brown! I don't know what kind of yield they got but it can't be too good.

Right now you're babies are growing more underground than above. Not to worry!

Yea Bufo, I can just see me out back at dawn with the hose... But that's what we do, wash off the frost before the sun hits it and magnifies the light, and "cooks" the plant.

There's just one left in the ground... it's getting cold, but no frost yet.

The other was 1/2 lb dried. Train Wreck that one was...the WHite Rhino is taking her time. Probably got more light than the TW.

It's cold and wet out there, but she is still bloomin!!!

Crossing fingers....

Thanks guys, I'm going to try and get one more pic up of the girl still out there, maybe we can tell how much longer she has. Things are going pretty fast, it's almost like the cool temps are having an impact on the growth rate.

Rain storms knocked her down and snapped one big branch, but the branch is alive, and all the bud sites have turned up! So I just tucked a few crates under her to keep her off the ground. Crazy... :D

So far 2 ppl have come to me to say that the train wreck is TOO strong. I'll tell ya 4 hits and I'm out for the night. :D

I only have a 5th or 6th generation clone mother left, but if I can cross her with the Hindu kush, I'll have some seed. It looks like I have a male Kush, so I'll let you all know if I get seed. I have to strike some clones first.

Ok here's pix taken today. The plant has been knocked down by storms, so it's twice as tall as it looks!

She's been through 2 or3 frosty nights with no damage. Temps -1C !

This is the same girl in the fairy pic taken a month ago.

Any educated guesses how much longer before I can pull her in?

I'm figuring 2-3 weeks more. But the cold does seem to be making her hurry.

Give me ur 2 cents guys... ^_^

PS...notice how everything else is dying? I'm quickly losing my cover plants, CRAP! Autumn is such a mess...

That girl has a decent % of sativa looking at the leaf. Whoppers!

I'm thinking it looks like it has been flowering for about 4-5 weeks

I'd be trying to keep it in the ground till the end of the month Granny

I'll cross my fingers and hope you have another spurt of warm weather this month

Don't chop her till she's killed from the frost would be what I'd try. Cheers and good luck Granny
