First Timer Confuzed

Recommended Posts

chopping the top out of her will stunt her growth, usually chop the top ou for a mother plant as to keep her compact and give yourself more clone sites, take your clones from the lower parts of your plant, tahts what i doo and works a treat, doesent shock them and they loose no size. its a girl alright. take clones right into flowering cycle and never any probs but can cause shock i have read i think.

thx blackheartedprofit..

doing my best i think.!

I tied the top down on friday it seems to have adapted well over the weekend just trying to keep the height down a bit and keep the canopy even.....

I did notice some leaf curl and small amount of yellowing is it anything i should be concerned about or keep doing wat ive been doing..

Is it best to cut the yellowing and curled leaves off the plant.?

Thanks in advance

the second pic plant looks fine, a bit of yellowing on the tips of the leaves is fine, keep an eye that it doesn't go further though, personally i would remove all the yellowed leaves as all they do is use nutrients trying to repair, better off having everything going into nice healthy leaves, the leaf curl can be any number of things i wouldn't worry abut it at this stage, just keep your fert anf water regime within the correct limits and the plant should just get better as time goes on

cheers

I also forgot to mention i changed the water and re-setup ph and nute levels on friday so maybe i shocked it a bit over the weekend with the change.? a bit strong maybe.??

Have cut the troubled leaves off.

plant is looking great again easy fix:huh:

I think its ready for the flowering stage.?

Im going to change to 12/12 this week do I need to change my nute solution as well like to a bud fert.?

hi dude,

ph should be 6.0 -6.2 for coco, nute level that's what i use for my coco/perlite soil mix ( https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners...24&start=24 ), that plant in the pick can run full nutes, 1.6-1.8 flashing between the two on your truncheon, you could change it over to 12/12 now no problems, when you change it over flower specific nutes are the best, i'm using canna flora 2 part now, it seems to be pretty good, setup the flower nutes to 2.4-2.6 ec on the truncheon and those buds will boom, what size light are you using?, i would even be tempted to let it vege for another week, it will crank in that time.

cheers

Looks very good! One little thing.. the reason you want to take the lower branches for cloning is because most of the plants rooting hormones are there. The closer to the root the more rooting hormones.

You can take very little off the top in fact it's called FIM (fuck I missed) and it's a matter of just pinching off the very tip of the new growth at the Atipical meristem (center top) Doing this will send the hormones that cause vertical growth down the plant and create more side branching.

thx blackheartedprofit,

I will let it vege for a while longer i still need to do some clones this week as well it is really growing fast in the last week i use full strength nutes 4ml per lt of canna A and 4ml canna B sitting around 5.8 - 6.2ph on average using 600w light.I water in 4 stages per day every 6 hours for 1 min. seems to be working out ok

ps: wow love your crop hope mine turns out as good how many plants u have going....

Cheers,

thx granny,

I will pick some bottom branches for cloning and stay away from FIM no one needs that. :bongon: thx..

With the top of plant i just bent it over and tied it down and a heap more growth has sprung from the side branches.? i might leave it like that and try that other method next grow when i have a few plants to experiment on as i have only 1 alive at present and dont want to FIM with it :chef: ..

Cheers,
