HERALD SUN

A HOLIDAYMAKER bitten five times by a death adder snake in Sydney's outer north-west is fighting for his life in hospital.

The 47-year-old was attacked when he picked the snake up in the dark, thinking it was a lizard at the Del Rio water ski resort at Wisemans Ferry tonight, NRMA CareFlight said.

Other holiday makers killed the snake and put it in a plastic bag so it could be positively identified by hospital staff.

The injured man had a heart attack while waiting to be airlifted to hospital by helicopter, but was revived by ambulance officers.

Hi snake watchers :ack:

This little carpet python has been livin with us for a while now. Each time it tries to come in the house, I handle it for a while before relocating it into the shed or garden. We like having them here to keep the rats in check :peace:

I think this is it's mother lol She's was in the chook pen! Not worrying the chooks, just looking for somewhere to sleep and digest the rat in her guts!

She wasn't too concerned about being handled either

The inland tiapan AKA FEAR SNAKE

:scratchin: Yep TT thats the only snake that scares me. Come breeding season the female hunts down and kills any other animals that are in her territory. So unlike other snakes that run away from you unless cornered, she will stand and fight. Luckily they mostly live in the very dry regions where there are few people so most people never see them. They can grow big too.
