DWC, Question

i empty the lot and syphon from the 60l tub to refil .

Never seen a setup like that before but looks good to me. How often do you feed from the top?

as soon as the light comes on for 30 minutes .

then 30 minutes after lights out ...... for 30 mins .medium stays relitavly dry hence less chance of bugs .

Hey thanks for that little drawing everest, it has cleared a lot of thing up for me, i wanted to know a bit about DWC as i am going to have a small go at it under a 150w hps wile i have my main grow under me 400w, with the little 150w DWC setup i can tinker around with until i get the hang of and cant stuff up to much just useing me 150w and then try under my 400w if i can get the hang of it, thanks againe mate for that lil drawing...

Another question for ya everest, with ya bucket ya have ya plant in and the tank you useing as a resevor are thay joined with each other so when the level in the bucket drops the netes from the resevor flow in and help keep it at a certin level, well that is my unserstanding of it at this point, and do you have to have TDS meter to keep on eye on it or would it work just as easy to dump the whole resevor and the water in the bucket say every week and refill with freach stuff...

hey ozmade , yea the 2 containers are joined with the bottom hose , they balance each other out ....... when the res is full you know the other tub is exactly the same level .

dump nutes every sunday nite .... takes me 10 mins .

no probs mate .... i got 2 running now ...... gonna add a third next grow ... that will do me a pound of bud , every 7\8 wks ..... mmmm ... they work :smoke

Everest with this setup am i better off with one large air pump or 2 smaller ones, i was thinking one large one and then when i put another bucket in i can use the same pump, or am i better off getting a few smaller ones...

i reckon 1 large one , cos you need to bubble your big res too .
