I know this sounds very dramatic, but I had an idea last night that really got me thinking. I'm sure your all aware of the governments idea to genetically isolate the pain killing attributes of pot as a form of pain killers. As i was munching into a salad my friend made whilst stoned, I realised how friggen awesome it tasted. Now I'm not the guy who typically eats salad unless I'm forced too. haha. So then it struck me. Why can't they isolate the component of pot that makes stuff taste so good. Pot makes things taste good, I've never met a person who have said food tastes 'worse' while stoned. I shared this with the group i was with and one of them posed a question,…

Uh Oh, This Is Bound To Be Biased [just look at who's funding it!! ] The Characteristics of Cannabis in Australia NDARC Staff Wendy Swift (NDARC) and Paul Dillon (NCPIC) Other Investigators Steve Allsop (National Drug Research Institute) and Colin Priddis (Chemistry Centre of Western Australia) Rationale There is little detailed information about the Australian cannabis market, including the chemical characteristics of the locally available cannabis product. O.K, I've always been interested in the effects of cannabis on users who have depression. I myself take an anti-depressent, and have done since about half-way through puberty. Studies are now showing that people younger and younger are being affected. I recently read a story on an 8 year old australian boy who was taking the same as me, Zoloft. He had been since he was 4, I think. Now b4 anyone throws their arms in the air, and starts saying how terrible it is...... Do you remember what it was like? Being a kid, and the smallest things are sometimes are the biggest, in small minds anyway. And you can feel so isolated, like nobody else is on the same planet as you. I'm gla…

Ok so although i've read a few posts, still got a few questions about Mr Postman being your dealer??? I may be having 1/2oz sent me through the post. I kind of don't want to send it to any post office as i think it may look more dodgy, strolling in to pick up a parcel when i have a proper address anyway? Will they ask for ID? Or can it just be mailed there and i go and fetch it? What does the sender need to do their end? (Except put a return address! ) and finally, who pays for the PO Box collection service? Me or the sender? I was thinking, fake name, packaged well in many layers (cling film, lock bags etc), sent express post for tomorrow. Just that on it's own, no …

I just got an email from the greens after a short talk about marijuana and in particular medicinal marijuana and was asked to write up a rough draft policy regarding its use. to say the least im shocked, but in anycase its too good a chance to pass up so I would like some help if thats possible. I think all I will need to write up a fair policy will be what medical conditions marijuana treats for you and how much you need on a daily basis. I'm already biased when it comes to growing our own so i'll work out the plant numbers and the rest of it from your daily needs If you have any suggestions feel free to share them as the more detailed this policy is the better

IF YOU PLAN TO RESPOND PLZ READ THE WHOLE THING CAREFULLY ITS NOT NEGATIVE AS IT mAY SEEM AT THE START I have no doubt that some studyies have been intentionally twisted to make weed look bad "propoganda" some call it. I however would never profess to know because its near impossible to evaluate properly, it wouldnt be propoganda if sponsoring bodies were listed at the bottom would it?. However, its very interesting how stoners instantly, and automatically, disregard ANY study that suggests something negative about weed. Usually regurgitating the same quotes each time, favourites of mine are "pharama company and/or petrochemical industry is behind it" or the more simple "…

New Painkilling Chemical Pathway Discovery could lead to new pain treatments 26 Nov 2008 - Marijuana kills pain by activating a set of proteins known as cannabinoid receptors, which can also regulate appetite, inflammation, and memory. The body also has chemicals known as endocannabinoids that naturally activate these same receptors, namely N-arachidonoyl ethanolamine (AEA) and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG). These natural components of the cannabinoid system remain the focus of intense efforts to develop new treatments not only for chronic pain, but also for obesity, anxiety, and depression. However, until the new paper, specific methods to study 2-AG signaling have bee…

'Eli Stone' wrongly paints pot as potential cure for multiple sclerosis The show also errs in its portrayal of one type of the disease as disabling and likely fatal.
