I have visited Dr Lester Grinspoon's site for years and followed his work.

he's a dude, radic, it just shows the prejudices the pot using community worldwide is up against, as long as people like this are fighting the good fight, sanity will prevail, eventually.

I did not wish to upset you Radic. It was mentioned by someone (who shall remain nameless ) that he had passed. Not knowing the mans work previously, I simply took this person at face value (I know, stupid T).

 

Further research on his wikipedia page and googling does not reveal anything about his death.

 

Please forgive so flippant a comment. Had I known the gravitas of this man of honour, I would never have made so flippant a comment.

Great man and cannabis crusader.

 

Treated his son with cannabis to counter chemotherapy back in the 70s. His son died of leukemia, but cannabis gave some dignity and dulled the pain and nausea of his treatment. Gave him a quality of life even tho short.

 

And proved something to Lester, no doubt.

Hi Radic

 

How are you - recovered from the shocking unsubstantiated reported death. No wonder I was. His contributions to RX Marijuana will only be appreciated in the near future (hopefully) with the emergence & combinations of 'stem cell research' & 'Nanotechnology'. I'd hope that President OB (US President) will forge ahead the research $ that leads to people being able to walk once more, for to anxious & OCD impacted people to be calm, for depressed people to find freedom, for genuine & real insight into schizophrenia, 'for superman to fly again', for governments to save money and lives ect ect.

 

As consumers/growers/users need to educate people. Show all the unseen potential in THC.
