Hello fellow stoners! Ok so I've been in the research period of starting a grow for afew weeks now, and ive got more of a grasp on what to expect, but i still have afew questions and concerns which im hoping you guys can help me with...so lets dive into it shall we.. Hi everyone as this is my first real thread i'll try and keep it simple and to stick to the rules,I believe the use of SWIM is not condoned here? First of all Happy 4/20 to all! ok I think I found a good set of 4 cfls. that Are not to expensive and seem to do what I have read on here that they have to do. this is them , these are 2700k ones I can get a 32w which puts out 1900 lumms instead of the 20w one with it so that should be good for flowering two shouldn't t it. http://cgi.ebay.com....E:X:RTQ:AU:1123 the day lights will be these ones. 6400k http://www.ebay.com....=item4d0c433b15 note the small one on the daylight will replace the small warm white one with the same size daylight bulb. Since im doing the big spend on my setup atm just wanted some opinions on what are some good options for fan inside the tent? If you could provide a place to buy them would also be excellent. I have a 1x1x1.8 veg tent and a 1.2x1.2x2m flower that might do scrog in so might run 2 fans above and under the canopy cheers judge

Greetings So finally have my own house about to move in the next month and preparing my shopping list So my plan is to have a 1x1x2m mother/clone tent with 1 or 2 80w phillips cfls already own 1 and for flower i have a 1.2x1.2x2m tent with a 600watt hps with 6" centri fan cool tubes filters ect ill be hand watering with coco My question is will i need to extract the air from the mother/clone tent or can i just run some ducting out the top and bottem and let the air move passively.( also having fans within the tent moving the air around) I want to use the smaller tent to start some clones while the other tent is a couple weeks out from finishing so i can move t…

Hi All Wondering if i can pick your collective brains so to speak I'm looking into setting up a grow space which will be 1m (W) x 2.4m (L) x 2.25m (H) ( Roof is Pitched so 2m high on 1 side & 2.5m high on the other side) The area will be spilt into veg & bloom , veg taking up around 1m x 1m at the 2.5m roof height side & the rest for bloom. I scored a couple of 400w Highbay mercury vapour lights for free (Manufactured date 2007) thinking that I might find a use for them. (Here's the manufactures spec sheet http://www.sla.net.au/sites/default/files/Eco%20Indy.pdf ) They don't look like highbay's anymore as I've modified them to have remote ballasts and square hoods instead of the highbay reflectors. Whats the best type of reflective stuff to put in a cupboard to help with light - the insides are already that laminex white except for the backing. I've heard just ordinary foil kinda shite, so something similar to what the tents are made from or should i paint the inside some crazy gloss white?

Hey fellow tokers, My 90x90x180 grow tent just arrived also 250/400W lumatek dimmable ballest, OG air cooled hood, fan/ducting ect. I've been doing some research and would I get better resuts using the normal MH(for veg), HPS(flower), orr spend the money on three sunpulse bulbs (3k,6.4k,10k)??? And also what lights are you using??!??

I was just curious on how many grows or hours used on your hps before you change it ? I read a mag the other day that said 9-10 months they should be changed but searching online seems alot do it every 6 months or 2 grows . Just wondered when most decided it is time for a new lamp . Cheers Badseed

Hey guys, I want to know if anyone here has made their own PL-L fixture. I'd like to give one a go. Now I know where to get 240v 55w PL-L's with 2g11 bases. I just need to help with finding sockets (easy enough) but more importantly the type of ballasts that I can use.. From what I see, workhorse don't come in 240v for out circuits. I will be using 4x 55w PL-L's (220 watts) intially and will then add 4 more to make it in total 8x 55w PL-L's equalling 440 watts Tips for people who have made their own setup is greatly appreciated. thankyou! Oh one more thing.. for a flowering cabinet using PL-L's. Is it better off to use like 1x 6500k PL-L and 3x 300k PL-L or just…

Hi all An embarressing question. What is the likely result from running a 24 hour light cycle for a week 3 weeks into flower? Non auto's. I have tried to look it up around the net with inconsistent answers. Anyone with answers from personal experience would be great (I cant be the only numnut to have done it)

Hi guys I know someone can help, I am in new territory here, I have bought a coolray air cooled reflecter with a 600w Son T tube, cooled by a canna fan.fed with, I think its a growlush electronic ballast with 60,80 and 110% taps, in the very basic instruction book it said it will also drive HID. My question is; Does the HID bulb have to be 600w or can it be 400w? Also I know it might seem dumb but do I need 600w for vedging? I just want to buy the right bulb. I have given the led the arse after useing HPS on the last grow and now want to kill this next grow, not literaly of course. I have a 1.2x1.2x2.0 mtr tent and 2 extractor fans and filters. I found this comparison interesting, it could have been more accurate in that they could have used multiple bulbs from each manufacturer and compared how the bulbs perform in different ballasts. However that would have blown up the cost of the comparison astronomically so i can sorta see why they wouldn't. Summed up, out of 9 bulbs the hortilux 1000w won, followed by Ushio and Digilux - badass, solis tek, lumatek and maxlume were mysteriously close, perhaps even coming out of the same factory ?
