Hi all. I have done searches but because of the name, the Phillips green power range keep coming up. Anybody know anything about these ballasts and lamps? Any experiences? Have seen them in lhs for $450 for ballast, e40 adapter to the cmh bulb 3100k. If it wasn't complete shit, may be an alternative to the pricey hi par gear. sunstatehydro.com.au Thanks in advance.

Been looking for a new exhaust fan as my cheapish centri fan was getting worse vibration, noisier, and starting to make some new noises that didn't inspire confidence. And it made a horrible humming noise when using a fan speed controller. My situation requires low noise levels, so I need to find a fan that runs quietly. By this I mean the fan itself, not the airflow noise which I already have ways of dealing with as best as possible. So looking for minimal vibration, bearing and motor noise, and something that doesn't hum when dialled down with a speed controller. Narrowed it down to 2, and leaning towards this one as it has a speed controller designed to run with…

Hi Guys and gals, been a little while since i posted anything here but i have been playing with the new Phillips 315w LEC (Light Emitting Ceramic) lamp and the D-Papillon reflector. thought i would share my results so you guys can see whats up with this lamp. Its being marketed as an equivelant to a 600w lamp so there is quite a power saving there if this lamp can really do all it says it can. early signs are pointing to yes it can! first up heres a look at the reflector and lamp. its an all in one unit with the ballast and reflector together. its a nice unit with the butterfly style reflector. this reflector really helps you get the most coverage from the lamp…

Summer is coming! Hyper fan Climate Controller: http://www.hydroexperts.com.au/Hyper-Climate-Control-Dual-Fan-Controller-Operate-Both-Inlet-Outlet-Fans I'm having a serious look at this but i have some concerns/questions: For reference sake here's their features advertised(and i suppose all the pro's of this): Extremely simple to use. Just set the two dials and forget!Lowest energy use of any fan/filter/controller systemThermostatically changes the fans RPM/speed as neededConstantly maintains the optimal day time temperatureFan speed falls back to custom set RPM on cold nightsOperates 2 Hyper Fans at once (Inlet & outlet fans)All cords, plugs and adaptor cable…

Hi all Hoping for some input from all ventilation specialists. I'm designing a new grow room, which is in a room in a basement - no windows. The room has two access doors. In one door, I would like to put a vent on the bottom for passive inflow of air. This shouldn't be too tricky as the door can open and shut … I will just have to make sure that no light gets in or out through the vent. The second door is a bit trickier … I want to use the top of this door to vent out the air from the carbon filter - carbon filter to fan to acoustic ducting. The problem here is that if I just make a hole in the top of the door to put the ducting through … every time t…

Howdy Folks, I have 4 plants in a tent running under 1 x 400w HPS and was just wondering how it would work if i put another 400w in there as well, I realize that it would obviously cost double power but would i get double the growth that 1 x 400 would give me? Reason i want to hurry it up is i am hoping to get them up to a decent size before going 12 x 12 hours before i need to start running the air conditioners in the house in the next month or two. Any advice appreciated.. Oh i have spare 400s ballasts and bulbs. Cheers Z

I saw a grow on here from sweet seeds that used a 70w HPS in a tiny box and wanted to track down something similar. does anyone know where you can get these? I've dug up a a web page that sells ballasts and ballast kits but they are in america http://www.hpslightdepot.com/high-pressure-sodium-ballast/70w-hps-ballast.html you can get globes from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/HPS-70W-LU70-High-Pressure-Sodium-HID-Clear-Bulb-ED23-Mogul-Base-FREE-Shipping-/121756570703 this would be perfect for smaller 1 plant stealth grows, like what I do.

Ello all, I just wanted to find out if anyone out there is running 2 x 600w HPS via the SolisTek digital splitter off a Solistek Matrix? If so I wanted know if you had any problems with the brand of HPS light? Solistek go on about the globes needing to be "Pulse" start digital ones. Wondering how much truth there is to that?

Hey, been using a 150mm Silenced Hyper Fan for only 1 year. It is now extreemly loud. It vibrates, makes a jet engine swirling noise and also a slight periodic grinding noise. We have 2.5m of acoustic duct either side of it plus a carbon filter. Would this be quieter? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131898208268?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT he has them in 150mm aswell without a speed controller. They are $229 RRP and he is selling due to last stock and new models. Any other suggestions on a Fan, preferably 150mm (will go upto 200mm if it means it will at least 50% quieter) Budget no more than $300 I really like the Blauber…
