Not sure if I'm onto something but I picked up one of those pond mist makers from bundogs today for $65 and chucked in a bucket. I'll try it out on some strawberry bulbs I also grabbed at big B. I like that it bubbles and spurts a little as well just like those Dewey misters I seen people using. I think the lights might cause issues but I can probs remove them

So August/September starts the seed sowing season for chilis and I think I am going to go a little heavy handed this season with varieties just so I can dry them and make up a variety of different and experimental chili powders. So the seeds I have to start this glorious season off with are your everyday garden variety Jalapeno, Red and Gold Cayenne, Orange Habanero, and the Serrano, some of the more common but not overly seen in Australia are the Trinidad Scorpion, Bhut Jolokia Chocolate (aka Chocolate Ghost Chili), Poblano, and Anaheim, then last but not least I will be getting some of the more Central and Southern American chilis a crack which are; Red Cherry, Pasilla …

As I have just finished Uni studies and what not, I have finally got time to start the epic journey of building my big produce garden. I've wanted to do this for a long time now.....always had smaller gardens but never one of this scale. The area I have in mind is north facing on a slope with access to a full day of sun. Just recently the area has been excavated thus my journey begins. I have sketched some average plans to give me and everyone else an idea of what I'm attempting...(pictures should be attached). The excavator put in two terraces, as you can hopefully gauge from the pictures, the guy in the photo is standing on the top one. The top terrace is going to have…

Hey all! I'm a happy Orchid grower willing to take any questions/have a chat on orchids, I owe A few orchids from Miltonia clowesii to the common Cymbidiums. If you are after a orchid to look after an care for they are not as hard as some may think, It is true that some are extremely hard to care for but that doesn't go for every Tribe of orchid Australian natives are some of the easiest and very rewarding. Thanks for reading Greenthumbs fo Life!
