Hey people, I was busted for weed a few years ago, approx. 1g and was issued with a caution. I am currently in my 2nd year at uni studying arts/education to become a secondary teacher. I'm curious to know if the weed caution will show up on any background checks done when I go applying for jobs as a teacher/tutor. Does anyone have any information regarding this? I'm a bit concerned about this, thanks for any help.

http://www.perthnow....1-1226084903976 New cannabis laws unpopular with readers PERTHNOW readers did not welcome the harsh laws that will be faced by cannabis smokers. There were 64 per cent of voters who did not agree with the new law and the fine which will jump from $100 to $2000 for possessing less than 30g of cannabis and the possibility of two years in jail. The law will be implemented from August 1 by the Liberal-National government as part of the “war on drugs†promise. The penalty for businesses caught selling smoking implements to children will increase from $25,000 to a possible …

Sorry guys, this may have come up b4 on here but i couldn't find it or elsewhere on the net. Does anyone know what happens if mail customs in WA discover your seed order? Obviously it gets confiscated - but do you just get a letter and/or fine or do you get police knocking at your door. I spose it depends on the amount of seeds too - I was thinking of ordering 8, but would it be safer to order 2 seeds at a time? Is there a fine per seed () ? And how many seeds make it a criminal offence rather than an infringement or misdemeanor? Your knowledge would be much appreciated. Thx.

Hello This is my first post here! I was listening to ABC radio this morning about a woman whos husband was growing some plants in the backyard shed which she allegedly didnt know about, and their property getting seized and their assetts frozen. One of my family members grows 4 plants in a shed on their property for personal use. I have spent all morning combing the web trying to find information on what the WA laws are... and whether or not this person (who has never been convicted of a crime) is going to lose the house is has owned for 40 years if caught. It sounds a little extreme, you would get less for murder. Appreciate your help in advance

Hi all Alot of people post asking about drug laws so we have put the Cannabis Law forum together to try and help a bit. (it's still a work in progress atm and will take a while to complete so please bare with us if some forums linked are not open yet) There is a bit of reading to do and it can get a little confusing at times but if you grow or use cannabis it is well worth the read IMO. As the name suggests, The Members Discussions and Questions forum contains exactly that, members discussions and questions on drug laws. If you have a question or just want to talk about cannabis laws then this forum is the place to post them. If you can see anything I ha…
